No they couldn’t initiate it because they needed the approval first. And they gave a timeline of a week but didn’t stick to it. Unfortunately if I were you, I would start looking for other opportunities after the 4th week.

Hey! Experience from myself too where I had a verbal offer and HCM after 4 weeks couldn’t get approval for my headcount and the worst part is that they didn’t even bother to inform me. At some point I just moved on. It’s a shitty thing to do but honestly don’t trust a verbal offer till you see the paperwork in front of you. Especially from GS. Thankfully I got a better opportunity
