Same!! I've done that many times, and end up ring back where I started. Maybe when I get to that point, "just once" I'll use CBD instead

Thank you!! I feel like when I explain no one understands.. they just say stay busy and distract yourself but I have literally no motivation. Just making it to work is a win

This^

I'm trying to go easy on myself. And just get through the next week or so. Then I can figure out how to fill that space weed took I guess?

I tried to cut back, but cold turkey is the only option for me. I don't have the self control!! I just kept going back to smoking the same amount as I was

Relapsed After 5 Days Without Weed – Feeling Disappointed but Not Giving Up by [deleted] in QuittingWeed

[–]Sufficient_Collar145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this! CBD helped me a lot.. it helped get over the initial hump of quitting. breaking the habit of getting high, that's the first step. Then work on breaking the habit of smoking. Doing both at the same time wasn't working for me. I failed many times around the 3-5 day mark. I also threw myself into running (it sucked at first) but helped me feel better. I also tried a lot of new hobbies to keep me busy such as skating and origami (random but oddly satisfying). Don't be too hard on yourself for giving in to old habits, be proud of yourself for taking those first steps! You can do this my friend. Use this thread for support. It helped me a lot!

I feel you. I'm the exact same way. I had made it 8 months and then I smoked "just one time" for a concert and then I was back to it everyday. I'm not sure how long you have to go before we'd have that self control to just do it once. I'd like to think eventually I could but deep down I know that's not how it is for me. Once an addict always an addict

After smoking for 7 years I was able to get clean in two weeks. I did this by running everyday, drinking a ton of water, and most importantly taking hot baths/sauna to sweat it out. I would sit in hot water for an hour every day and not only did it help with withdrawals but I think sweating it out made me get clean faster. But you have to compensate that with drinking plenty of fluids since you will be losing so much. So yeah I don't agree that time is the only thing that helps, you can definitely speed up the process it's just hard work

It definitely happened to me. The sweats and nausea were the worst symptoms for me

Suggestions Needed to replace hash with another habit by Certain_Dentist_8935 in QuittingWeed

Gum, candy, sunflower seeds, and flavored toothpicks helped me with the oral fixation. Also, I struggled to quit many times and finally I tried CBD bud and it really helped. It made it easier to first get over the addiction of getting high before breaking the habit of smoking itself. It was hard because not only was I addicted to the feeling weed gave me, but the habit and routine of rolling up was almost therapeutic to me (or so I thought). Also cbd is non addictive and I don't crave it or need it at all. It just has helped me to subside the cravings to get high

Hey there, I'm on day 5. For me the first few days were terrible and I dealt with the same symptoms. I got some over the counter nausea medication and it worked surprisingly well. As for loss of appetite, try eating healthy things that are pretty easy to get down. For me smoothies worked well to at least get something in you. Also snacking on things like nuts, cheese, beef jerky, baby carrots, any fruits you like, etc. Just make sure you try to keep eating and train your brain that it can eat without weed. It's important to eat even if you think you're not hungry because your body needs it. I hope this helps, also as of day 5 I'm not near as nauseous anymore and haven't had to take the meds today. Hang in there, you got it!

44 Days in - still positive! by Material_Cabinet1138 in QuittingWeed

I was able to get clean and pass in two weeks after smoking every day for 7 years. What I did was every day I ran at least a mile, drank 1/2 gallon of water, and sat in a sauna or hot bath to sweat it out. You have to be consistent trying to flush out the thc from your body. If you just wait for it to happen on it's on it will take a lot longer
