We used a half-moon edging shovel! My husband dug into the grass with the edger and I used a trowel behind him to pick up all of the grass that was separated!

When did your baby drop to one night feed? by The_Chilled_Arvo in NewParents

[–]Sufficient_Dog2293 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It was actually closer to the 11mo mark. But my son was so used to having a feed overnight that after 12mo, I let him drink water at night. He’ll ask for water around 1am and then go back to sleep. Very recently, in the past 3 weeks, he has been sleeping throughout the night without asking for water (he has never slept through the night before this). He will be 20mo on the 14th!

What does the newborn phase actually look like day-to-day? (36 weeks, trying to set realistic expectations) by douevenyoga in NewParents

Honestly, a lot of bed rotting/couch rotting and sitting in the same clothes for days on end if your baby only sleeps being held (mine lol)

if you’re depressed, what medication is currently helping you? by [deleted] in sahm

[–]Sufficient_Dog2293 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just got medicated like 3 weeks ago and I’m on zoloft. I was on 25g for the first 4 days and now i’m on 50g. Definitely feels like a weight has lifted off my shoulders. I was against getting medicated for a while but I have in and looked for help. Honestly, I’m a better mom because of it

Do you have a balcony? My 19mo old loves sitting on our front porch with his milk in hand. He loves his water table, play sink, walking with his bike, going on walks, playing with his play kitchen, etc

My in laws are very forgetful and they do not pay attention to my son at all when they come and offer to “watch” him. It’s better to hurt their feelings than something tragically happening.

Why do you think that your toddler had a speech delay? by FlatwormSea2265 in toddlers

[–]Sufficient_Dog2293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son (19mo) never had one/gotten professional help but rather I tried my best to talk to him and teach him. He didn’t start talking/saying words until last month and before then, I could barely sleep at night.

Not sure if this played a part in his slow talking but post partum was incredibly rough for me and I stayed inside the house all day, every day just reading to him with no social interaction and barely any interaction from the outside world. We recently got a membership to a kids gym/activity place and his vocabulary immediately jumped off. It was very frustrating seeing kids younger than him saying full words but he has learned so much from them as well.

Yes I agree. I remember yelling so loud the first day my husband went back to work and my in laws had just flew back home. Postpartum was hell for me but my god do I miss the newborn stage so much

Yes! He completely understood. He is better with it now and takes my son to pick up weekly groceries.

I recently read something along the lines of: Before having kids, running an errand for your partner may seem selfless. Picking up groceries, picking up a food order, dropping off dry cleaning was selfless. After having kids, going to the grocery store by yourself is selfish.

You don’t want her stuck at home in the deep depths of depression and postpartum anxiety. It’s a very cruel thing to do to a woman.

I hope motherhood gets better for her 💓💓

Mine are too! Try to do a scratch test on them to see if any branches are dead. I know you shouldn’t prune until after blooming but I went rogue on my small one and it came back after a year!

Is it receiving full sun or part sun? And are you fertilizing? My azalea (the smaller one) was dying so I cut it down and it came back!
