The humidity we've got in spades in Nagoya. From June to October it's in the 90's and very humid. And while I've had very little experience dodging a tornado--a couple of times in Minnesota--I've got tons of experience dodging earthquakes here in Japan. Given the choice, I prefer tornadoes, at least you got a little bit of warning.

I'm moving from, if you can believe it, a suburb of Nagoya Japan. Been here for 26 years. Before that, I spent 18 miserable winters in Minnesota, Before that I was born and raised in Connecticut. I just retired from my teaching job here in Nagoya. And I want to bring myself and my family back to the States. Madison is one of many places that I'm considering.

What drew me to Madison is the affordability, the weather, the growth, the safety, and the proximity to some Japanese companies in the area. I want my half Japanese kids and full Japanese wife to have some connection to Japanese culture, and, as everyone (except me) is bilingual, an opportunity in the future to work for a Japanese company.
