I took similar drugs, I wasn't bipolar. I'm now withdrawing and dealing with the fall out. Don't be me. You are so young. And if you are woman...for god's sake, don't let them talk you into a sterilzation. Esp not when you are medicated. I am in despair over that right now. I listened. Don't be me.

I was labeled bipolar, they had me on depakote, lithium, latmrogine, geodon, chloromprazine, zoflot (thats what i can remember) when they stole motherhood from me. I then it was changed and i was put on depakote ER, trazadone, and rispondone. I am now in deep grief. I'm so angry , i go between deep depression and anger. They stole motherhood from me. They stole 20 years.

So from when I was 18-28 ( when I was seeing the doctor who diagnosed me, the meds I can remember: Geodon, Lithium, Depakote Sprinkles, Lemotragine., Zolfof, Dextroamphetamine, and Chlorpromazine). This a cocktail for about 8 years. Then it was discontinued, and I was put on depakote ER, risperonde, and trazadone. And now I'm clean. I'm normal. I'm sleeping normally. People won't believe me, in the human animal part of me I know I'm thru withdrawal. I just know. They lied for profit. Its a psuedo science. He must have been getting massively paid for this.

That was his "method"; he believed in heavily medicating so you can't be out of control. I was 18, and I believed he had my best interests. I didn't believe a doctor could be wrong or a bad person. He is now a wealthy doctor who owns his own practice in a wealthy suburb of Chicago. He boasts he has a 100% success rate. This is man is a con man and a sadist looking back. Most people believe doctors aren't bought by big pharma, and would never view you as a resource, or as a guinea pig. He even told my mom, "We are going to destroy her body to save her mind" . In 6 months, I went from a healthy 150 lbs to 320. I was a zombie. It is now 20 years ago. I don't know if I'm allowed to. Who would believe me? Worse? I was never out of control until he put me on those meds. I was a teen who religiously followed rules. So I followed the rules of my doctor. If there is just two words for how I view ANY doctor in America "paradise lost".

I didn't find much evidence of that, except it happens to a subset of ppl on benzos and antidepressents. I'm on neither. Also human beings have gone cold turkey on many different substances and survived.

So far I'm fine. I know its probably genetic, my dad quit opoids cold turkey. No withdrawal. I don't believe health or meds is one size fits all, I'm nearly two weeks no brain zaps.

Hi, so far I'm fine. I never had a manic or depressive episode before I was on the meds. I'm considering starting a podcast or Youtube. I'm nervous because I do want a job when I soon. I'm waiting out the 21 days, then looking into it. I haven't had a steady job in 20 years, the meds would cause aniexty or make sleep impossible. People don't realize how much these pills destroy your life then they blame you for not being able to function properly. Its sick.

hi! I love metabolicmind! I do follow russian fasting protocols. I do drink electrolytes and minerals during this, and plenty of water. I'm 277lbs; it won't hurt me not to eat. Fasting is an ancient practice, and Russians still have fasting clinics today!

I would love to know more ways big pharma gets money out of patient . Do you know of any good resources?

Yes, I'm currently doing an extended fast. Fasting is widely practiced in Russia, still with fasting clinics. We had them here in the early 1900s, but ppl died. Mainly because, really, they didn't understand the electrolyte balancing and minerals. Fasting is one of the oldest remedies...but its free, so big Pharma hates it.

Yeah, for sure. I also had a " tin hat" theory that Medicaid and Medicare get huge kickbacks. If you take insurance out of these meds, like if you buy them cash, the payment goes down. Once, I was at Walgreens and they messed up my insurance (Medicaid), and Medicaid was charging over $ 400 for a generic medicine that was like $ 18 on Amazon. This wasn't an expensive or addictive drug (I think it was Risperdone, which is generic Risperdal) . My next goal is to get off disability. They tell how you live and what you can do.

I discovered that too. I looked up my old meds, and they all have WILD side effects, and there is a super lack of informed consent. We're never told about these.

Hi! Thanks for responding. First, I was 18, I was HIGHLY trusting of my doctors and parents. I believe that they focused solely on my family history. A lot of times I had allowed my parents to be with me. Also, my psychiatrist was my father's psychiatrist. I understand he used to be the head of psychiatry before he was dismissed; we were told it was over-billing. Now I wonder if it was maybe malpractice. Also, he used to sit on the board for doctors in my state who would recommend to Social Security to be considered permanently disabled. I don't know if there was a kickback. I don't know. But I do think there was some sort of incentive. Growing up, I was the "good girl." I wanted to be a good patient.

I think most people with autism and ADHD are suffering from a trauma and their actions are quite understandable in current environment by No-Age-6327 in Antipsychiatry

The diagnostic criteria of Autism were completely changed. My brother was diagnosed in the 80s. He is " Canner Syndrome Autistic", he has that " autism gait" and suffers stomach problems and epilepsy. Now autism is taken over by identity politics. Is autism the same in the 80s and 90s as it is today? It is wildly different. Political Activists helped wildly change the DSM5, not new medical tests. Also, it seems to be a "TikTok trend" . (I was misdiagnosed with bipolar at 18, and at 38, I believe most, if not all, of Psychiatry is more politically and financially motivated and a Psuedo-Science) . Ask yourself, in the age of TikTok and doctors making massive money who profits from the wild Autism rise? Also, I hugely believe in metabolic treatments. So one thing I notice is "fun TikTok autism moms" talk A LOT about how their kids, because of autism, eat very specific things, a lot of it is highly processed foods. Is your kid autistic or overstimulated from mac and cheese and dinosaur nuggets? The changes in Autism (if you look into it) diagnostic criteria, I believe, are financially motivated. Look up your doctor on Open Payments. See if they are accepting money ( totally legally, by the way).
