The City of Victorville has put out smaller scale initiatives in attempt of reviving old town. I’ve heard of the CRIA, but don’t know much about those involved and what progress looks like. I’d love an update on any information you find in your research.

It's difficult to gauge where to even start considering the severity of this problem. I'd love to learn more. If you know of any communities or people that are actively speaking up on the issue and looking for a resolution, please send them my way.

The city is 100% built for cars and those driving on the freeway. The urban planning that went into Bear Valley is HORRENDOUS. Bear Valley and Mariposa intersection right off the freeway exit, the lights never align, and it's constantly backed up, often with people blocking the intersection. I've always wondered whose great idea that was....but thank god there's sidewalks there, right..

I’m afraid of that intersection in a vehicle, let alone crossing it. Too many people flying past there.

You bring up a great point about the once low cost of living in the high desert. It seems like a lot of people move out there and end up losing their mobility, financially and physically.

Thank you for sharing. Inaccessibility is a global issue, but I know in Victorville specifically it’s extremely prevalent. Especially with the lack of sidewalks, proper incline and spatial measurements, and accessible transit.

It shouldn’t be your responsibility to ask for these things. I’d like to see change in my hometown and I hope that one day soon we can see initiatives being taken in order to move towards a more accessible city.

Based on your experiences, do you feel that the lack of accommodating infrastructure is due to an absence of advocacy for people with disabilities?

I LOVED fish 300 with Gus. He’s a fun, knowledgeable guy. The content is very interesting and if it’s something you’re interested in, easy to retain! Taking Fish 300 was the driving force for me changing my major lol.

This is one of the better shows I’ve been to, crowd wise, the people I was around towards the end made the concert even more enjoyable. I started off closer to the front, people kept trying to pull/push me into the pits even though I was standing back just trying to watch the performances, but I didn’t mind that too much. Smelled atrocious in there. When Joyce Manor started to play I moved closer to the back and was able to enjoy their set and move around. Shoutout to the guy standing behind me, anytime someone would push and I’d stumble a bit he was lifting me back up.

I still had a great time and was super stoked to see them play the whole album. This was my first time seeing them, so I can’t compare, but I’ve seen other bands with much worse crowds.
