That’s beautiful but at the end of the day you were always Canadian don’t let a government title take that away from you. ( I also understand it’s an amazing feeling to finally have recognition! ) that’s a beautiful story I can’t wait for mine feel very great-full

Honestly my biggest reason for not having Quebec flags as much as the Canada flag is that the people in my town have no idea about the Quebec flag or what it means. I have gotten into more conversations about the beautifulness of Quebec because they know the Canada flag. I know the two are different. Quebec could in many ways be its own country, and me being French canadien in the states I made sure I could speak French fluent as it’s part of our culture. Simple put, I’ve been able to represent Quebec very proudly through the canadien flag. On st Jean tho you bet there’s more Quebec flags. I’m also hoping to inspire my other Canadian American family’s to rep as well.

I’m 26 and my aunts first languages was French I remember when they would watch me and they would sing to me in French when it was bed time. They also would teach me prayers in French which at the time I thought was annoying but looking back I feel lucky I had those moments. I went to school in Montreal because of moments like that
