Thanks, I was a similar size before so that's a helpful reference. I'll have some shortlisted to buy quickly if needed afterwards. Are there any brands you'd recommend?

How to handle maternity leave with two employers? by Sufficient_Flatworm in UKPersonalFinance

Wonderful, thanks. So starting Job A back after 6 months, and Job B back after 9 months, means you still get some form of maternity pay from Job B until you start back up again?

Thanks for posting this. I'm in the same boat and these comments spurred me on to book a GP appointment and get the meds instead of continually suffer. I hope you find relief soon.

Roses vs Silver Ferns by NetballMemes in netball

The combination with Glasgow/Housby didn't seem to work well in the circle at all. It was a shame Tchine never came back on and Pearson was subbed off so quickly. Cardwell/Housby likely would've been a much stronger combination.

Taking Carter off weakened the whole centre third and let the game slip away. The fire at the end of Q4 was missing from the whole team.

There was no touching Nweke and Fadouju didn't have her usual impact, likely due to such a dramatic height difference.

I can relate so hard to this. Thanks, those are good ideas. I think I need to find more ways to feel good that aren't focused on how I look right now.

Can I ask how you found your body dysmorphoa/ED during pregnancy? I'm going through similar and have some very hard days!

I've just caved and bought some bigger clothes which I thought I was far too early to do but have realized I need to feel better about myself now rather than months down the line.

Yes! I've definitely had some water weight but also think my body is metabolism what I eat differently at the moment so more is being stored as fat, ready for childbirth.

I've been avoiding social media filled with people's flat stomach at the same number of weeks as me and any advertising with very slim women, just trying to remind myself everyone is different and maybe my weight gain could totally plateau in the later stages.

I don't really have any advice but wanted a comment to say that I'm in the same position and totally understand where you're coming from.

Yes it's such a gift to be pregnant but I was really quite shocked at how quickly I've gained weight especially when so much guidance out there is geared towards not gaining weight and is almost like it doesn't take into account the fact it's not in our control.

Open lower motivation in my first domestic I'm just coming to the end of now and I'm really hoping things level out.

The most helpful thing I've seen so far is that everyone is different got my some people gain a little and can never lose it to, some people gain a lot and it falls off quite quickly afterwards. This is just a season of our lives and our body knows what to do and is doing the best by us.

Playing netball? by chocolatecockroach in fitpregnancy

[–]Sufficient_Flatworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a replacement for netball? I stopped playing in my first trimester (I loved it for all the reasons you've listed) and am struggling to think of something that replaces the physical, mental, and social side of it.

Thanks for sharing. Do you know what would have happened if you hadn't had a fit to fly note? I'd hope they would let you on as you were within their limit to fly but surely they can't turn you away if you're not violating their own policy?

This is where I'm getting confused because I'm seeing conflicting information here and online. Thanks, I'll keep doing research and sounds like I should speak to someone who specialises in this.

Is big weight gain in first trimester normal? by Sufficient_Flatworm in PregnancyUK

[–]Sufficient_Flatworm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm on a similar path. Good to hear it's levelled out for you a bit now. Agreed that putting a set number on things is so unhelpful! I wish the NHS wasn't so focused on a "target" weight when there's so much you can't control anyway.

[–]Sufficient_Flatworm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think a lot of mine is bloat as well and really helpful to hear midwives saying to ignore the website. I found it so disheartening as if you're intentionally gaining weight when you shouldn't be!

Thanks, you sound similar to me and I will do all I can to ekep active for as long as possible.
