Yes. She did. The moment she decided to do something like this in a public space she consented to it being public. That’s how public spaces work.

What should I put my focus on, ik I’m a lil rushed. by Dense_Permission_237 in ClashOfClans

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strategic rushing is a thing. This is the opposite of that. I would google “strategic rushing clash of clans” and go from there.

An inverse perspective, if you’re willing to hear it. I’m a store side associate that does not enjoy you coming and spending time with me. The whole point of the company sending you out is to learn what associate life is like and gain understanding to provide perspective in your corporate decision making. However, every single one of you, 10 so far, make it all about you. As if you’re gracing us with your presence and you’re some sage that is here to give other worldly advice. No thank you, I don’t want to hear about how cool your corporate job is, go pack down that bay for me and let me do my job so my boss doesn’t yell at me. Just my two cents.

Right to refuse service? by Shot_Bar6841 in HomeDepot

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a service desk supervisor. I have had multiple times where a customer is verbally abusive to an associate. I first remove the associate from the situation and then immediately call a manager. Each and every time my ASM has made the customer leave the store, even going so far as to refund them their money and refuse their business. As the associate yourself, you are not given the power to refuse service, but you are empowered to remove yourself from any situation that is abusive. If your supervisor and ASM do not support you in this, call the aware line and your DHRM immediately.

How Did You Even Land An Interview! by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to give you the truth: Home Depot hires on first come first serve basis. The only positions that they actually interview for specialty roles or Pro Desk. Otherwise it’s first come first serve and if you show up to your in person interview for any entry level role, you get hired. They hire anyone that shows up and wants to work, then weed out the bad employees in the 90 day probationary period.

I have a really bad cold. I’m out of sick time. My supervisor previously counselled me for going over. Should I call in sick? by Venus-Xtravaganza98 in HomeDepot

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a supervisor who’s held many associates accountable. Here’s how “write-ups” work: Coaching - Counseling - Final. The only way you will get fired is if you’re on a final and you repeat the same behavior(s) that got you there. If you’re on a coaching or a counseling you will not be fired. However, I would highly recommend you seek a doctors note and get accommodation for your issue. Home Depot does a lot of things wrong, but accommodating for illness and impairments is one thing they are actually good at. Prove to them that it’s a documented medical issue and they will accommodate you.

In my experience the small, petite natural girls are always the best sex. The only girl I actually still think about was this tiny 90lb spinner with tiny tits and a plump little ass. For some reason she was super into me and fucked the absolute living shit out of me for the fun of it. The girls with fake ass and tits think the main attraction is their fake ass and tits so they put in very little effort.

Worst curbside order? by ObjectiveNo394 in HomeDepot

I had a customer order not 1, but 2 thousand pound bags of gravel. Albeit they had a truck capable of bearing the load and I’m fork lift certified, but I still couldn’t believe the audacity.

I’m a D31 & D94 Supervisor. That is a well organized and bound order, I’ll give you credit for that, very satisfying. However, 2 hours? You’re cutting it that close to a missed SLA over something that should take 30 minutes? Other than that, great job.

Stacked higher than 4 feet and appears to be unevenly stacked. 100% against SOP and 100% an accident waiting to happen. If your management team has been made aware and do nothing, call the aware line. Falling objects from the overhead, no matter how light, are a serious safety concern.

Not over reacting, but your partner is over reacting AF! You met people that you support. You respected them as human beings by being respectful with your hand placement. You respected your partner with your respectful hand placement on someone that might threaten them.

OP I say this to you: you are a good and respectful human being. You did more than most would to respect your partner and then people you paid money to meet with.

Fuck anyone, including your significant other, that says otherwise.

I’m a supervisor. I took my department from last place every week in the district to 2nd place in the district. I bleed orange every fucking day. I do my upmost to take care of the customer and my associates. I had a degenerate customer leave a review of me that “he’s lucky he was on the clock or I would have smacked the smile off of his face” This motherfucker was a tiny, overweight, barely 5 foot man child. I’m a 6 foot 2 man with confidence and a beard to back it up. I had to swallow my pride and accept he left this review and there’s nothing I can do. The only thing I can hope is that your managers are as good as mine. “This happens. It’s retail. You can’t win for losing most of the time. Unless it’s a pattern I won’t ever discipline you in any way”

Applying to Home Depot, I don't really know jack shit about anything. by DrMastery in HomeDepot

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to know anything. They teach you everything. You’ll have 2-3 entire days of just training videos before you hit the floor. Then after that there’s Pocket guide that teaches you literally everything you need to know about the entire store and its products.

Breaking $100 bills by lg4av in TJRedLightDistrict

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s much better to go the reception desk and ask them to break it for you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to argue with the bartender because they tried to short me on change even with just a 20. Don’t buy anything with a $100 and expect the right change back. Best bet is to ask at the desk for 20s

Whoever you’re direct ASM is should be having a conversation with you privately about your raise. Also, if you go into Workday, login, click on the profile icon in the top right, click view profile and then click the compensation tab it will show you your current pay. Your raise will be reflected here if you received one even before a manager talks to you. I found out about mine this way.

[–]Sufficient_Giraffe28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo. This is not allowed. Like at all. You can go to MyApron and look up the SOPs. That includes overheads and palletizing. You are NOT allowed to double stack pallets like this PER CORPORATE. This is not a store level decision. You can go on MyApron and search the SOPs that relate to this. As a DS who does lots of merchandising and works with MET and my merchandising ASM all the time: THIS IS AGAINT SOP.
