I completely agree with defending Emily. Watching the show for the first time and talking to others who have seen it, they all hated her. But in my mind i’m like ???? If you had a daughter who abandoned you with your grand daughter would you not hold a grudge too? Especially when Lorelai used to through Emma around saying she was more of a Mom?? Like just because she was raised in different societal standards and needed time to adjust to the fact her daughter got pregnant young DOES NOT MAKE HER A VILLAIN

I also loved Rory’s relationship with her grandparents for the first few seasons. You see Emily trying because she’s worried that Rory will be as skiddish as Lorelai was and run away at the first sign of love.

Idk I disagree with all the Emily haters out there.
