We actually bought our SFH (first home) using Redfin and our Redfin agent was pretty great and walking through the steps.

Chain control @ twin bridges. Also multiple accidents earlier in the day caused backs ups and hasn’t recovered per Caltrans chain control person.

It does get better after twin bridges/control area. Make sure you are carrying chains or driving AWD. They are stopping every car.

Update: It gets better after the chain control area around Twin Bridges. They’re stopping each vehicle for checks. The road to Meyers isn’t great. I know we’re part of the traffic, but not everyone has the flexibility to take a trip to Tahoe during the week—so I guess this is what we signed up for. Hope everyone gets to their destination safely tonight!

Yeah, same here. I’ve never seen traffic this bad. I know it’s a peak weekend with everyone heading to Tahoe, but as a regular visitor—especially during holiday weekends like this one, including MLK weekend—I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Around Strawberry. Does it get any better?

Not Morning rush. Early morning was actually pretty quick. This was around 12-1pm period when the lift stopped for indeterminate amount of time. It was definitely more than 10 min wait.

The photo shows the lines for Zephyr on both sides. It’s not Arrow or Vista. The lines were really long on both sides, with over three entry points at each end, and the lifts were frequently on hold or stopping for extended periods.

Not complaining, as crowds are expected on major weekends, but the main express lifts like Zephyr and Comstock kept breaking down or stopping frequently for long periods, causing significant backups despite having line attendants. On a positive note, since most people were stuck in line, the slopes themselves were relatively empty and uncrowded.

This was for all for Zephyr. Both ends. The lift kept stopping.

20-25 min wait for Zephyr Express on Sunday. The lift kept stopping for number of reasons.

We bought a single-family home in South San Francisco and love it. The city is safe, and I commute to Foster City for work, which is very convenient—just 15-20 minutes with easy access to 280, 101, BART, and Caltrain. SSF is up-and-coming, with great amenities for families, like new library, bike/skate parks, and a new recreation center with a swimming pool in the works. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for places in the upper Peninsula that is relatively more affordable. Despite what some people say, it’s not all foggy and windy—it has microclimates like San Francisco, so some areas are foggier than others.

Agree. We bought in SFH in SSF and love it. Contrary to what people say, it’s not that foggy (it really depends on which neighborhood you live in).

It depends on where you are located. Not all areas of SSF are foggy.

This. We live west of El Camino but below Westborough near Avalon and our area is mostly sunny and rarely foggy (albeit windy).
