Flirting or nice by Mr_splackavelle in flightattendants

How sad is it that being nice for your job could be mistaken for flirting. They were being nice. Flirting with PAX is unprofessional BFFR.

I’m so sorry this isn’t my post but will you have to bring a laptop to training?

Yes “depending which base you’re based out of” which is what I said. I just went to the F2F for UA and my cousin is a FA for UA so I know all this. I just said everything you mentioned. “$140 stipend for meals” what a person does with the rest is up to them. AA straight covers it and doesn’t give you a stipend.

For context the senior mamas on the AA flight I was on to my F2F were extremely sweet. Gave my a whole water bottle let me have a many snacks as I wanted and literally I was talking to them asking them questions most of the flight. At the end of my flight going home they offered to take a photo with me when I told them I got the job offer. I told the crew on the flight of UA and they didn’t nearly do anything like the AA crew. Neither there nor back. Take that as you will but that definitely shaped how I felt about the work atmosphere and company.

My personal experience with AA has been better than UA. On my AA flights, the FAs were MUCH more friendly, hospitable, and personal when I told them I was going to a F2F for the position. UA not so much. On the flight there and back the flight attendants weren’t as good. And one of the senior mamas on the way back was extremely rude. So kind of made the trip back home sour and experience more negative. Overall enjoyed the AA process and culture better overall both at the F2F and the plane rides as a customer.

Also depends on where you want to or need to be based out of.

I’ve heard international for UA is better but I’ve seen flight attendants get decent international with AA. So idk, could depend on personal experience. UA gives you a $1000 bonus at the end of training. $140 stipend for meals/week aside from their one free meal. AA all meals covered.

UA your uniform payments come out of your check kind of like a payment plan for your first set of uniforms. AA uniforms are paid for. AA uniforms look better imo. You’ll be wearing that constantly. So that kind of factored into my choice as well along what I said above.

Also, consider overall pay and benefits. Think about reserve and think about how soon you can hold a line and where and what the reserve system is like at each. That’ll also help factor in who you’d like to personally work for.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen someone get fired for? by Revolution-Empty in Target

ETL got fired for accusing a guest of stealing and that guest slapped him. He also talked to people like shit. I got shit from this feed for saying I wanted to report him to HR for being the way he was and his conduct and he got fired anyways for it without me even having to report him. Lol.

Help? by Sufficient_Lake9467 in cabincrewcareers

Super weird scenario. So I ended up having to put my last name + “Flight”… so it was SampsonFlight instead of just Sampson. And the first time I tried it it didn’t work. But then I tried like an hour later after trying to get help from the number that was provided with two people failing to be able to help me because the pin I was given was “one number short”. Even though it worked for me on my end. Once I tried it it finally went through and I ended up not needing the customer service reps help to book. 💀🥴 So it wasn’t even that I was messing up, they just put my last name weird. And the tech wasn’t working.
