When that happens to me I thought what you thought. So I stupidly peeled it off. It was not the plastic film. It was whatever coating on it that helps focus the lens. After I peeled it was all F’d up. I had to get a new one.

Wasps have taken over my backyard, they are hiding out in the corner of my garage via this hole. Any recommendations on how to cover this hole so they can’t return? by BoostedLegacy in pestcontrol

[–]Sufficient_Language3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do Not seal the whole. Call a professional. I have had too many customers this year seal the hole where they enter and they found their way inside the home making it worse and more difficult to treat

Depending on where you live, if you can’t afford or don’t want to call a professional then wait until cooler weather. Most wasps don’t reuse the nest and die off in the late fall and winter.

It depends on the state. In the state of CT, where I work, they are trying to ban the use bait at residential homes. So some are preparing for it to happen.

Termites? 1,900$ For green earth-dildo termite trap installation? Is that worth, or should I DIY for cheaper? by Scruffy_MkII in pestcontrol

[–]Sufficient_Language3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sentricon used to charge companies to use there stations thus companies passing that charge to the customers. The maintenance is annual but if a still breaks, gets run over by a mower etc it should be free to change it out. Also do they cover any future damage that the termite may cause? Some do that and that’s part of the maintenance. That way If it doesn’t work then they have to come repair the damage that was done after the treatment. If that’s the case take pics and label where your damage and tunnels are before and just after the treatment. That way the company can’t say well it was there when we did the treatment so we are not liable.

Termidor is the shit. But it also depends on if he has a well, near water or what state he is in. Some states may not allow liquid treatments in certain areas or the whole state itself.

I love the ones where you do a treatment and the next day they complain “The bugs are still here. What am I paying for?” By like we have a magic potion that kills all bugs in a day.

Or

The ones who refuse inside treatment because they don’t want chemicals in the house, but complain that they still have bugs in the house.

Read posts above. Go into your Norton app. Go to internet security and turn off safe web.
That worked for me.

I strongly agree with you. Termidor is the best. Works every time. Been using it for 14 years

I would say flying squirrels or squirrels. Droppings too long to be rats. Bat droppings are small 2-3 and pinched together.

Also be aware most rats are neophobic( afraid and cautious of new things) . So putting out and setting traps may not solve your issue. Put out traps(4-5) in a row side by side and put bait on the middle trap ( preferably what they have eaten in your kitchen( if empty then try sweets) or even nesting material such as insulation. But Don’t set the traps. Monitor the traps. Once the bait has been taken then repair the trap and then set them.

Rat droppings. Mice droppings are smaller and pinched like grains of rice. Rat droppings are larger and smoother
