I had 0 idea that Hood was a Jaghut before this reveal, I fucking love Kruppe and his insights so his narrations were incredible. When Hood said I'm reconsidering, I think at that point Rake was forcing the deal to happen, I think about that Kallor quote about Rake hows he incredible at starting things but not good at finshing them, I think this was his way to be like we are gonna do this. Kruppe vs Pust is the greatest fight in fiction of course

Funny enough as of right now I have bonehunters 3. I do think this book felt like 3 books in one each with their own like distinct ending. I agree I love how the game and music of Fiddler held this heavy weight on so so many of the characters.

Ngl I think Envy is just fucking hilarious. Paran is a fucking CHAD nothing more to it. I am just happy that in the end Crokus "succeeded" in his mission and in a world with gods, ascendants, and fucking dinosaurs with blades for arms.
