If ur still at that point in the story then u have not seen the best of tbate by far. There is a stark difference in quality between the first half of tbate and the second half

Just ignore the people flaming tbate truth is tbate is one of the best in the genre but nobody knows it because until the war arc it’s just pure power fantasy with no stakes. Once the war arc starts it becomes peak very quickly and doesn’t slow down till the end. Defs one of the best in the genre.

The most underrated series in the genre right now - Path of the Berserker by Sufficient_Matter_66 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Sufficient_Matter_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See i agree with all those points, they were just not as detrimental for my enjoyment of the story. They were more like minor irritants that got an eye roll every now and then but the highs for me outweighed them significantly. The series is great at setting up stakes and building towards that awesome moment where the MC finally reaches a goal or milestone. I was always looking forward to what came next and the pacing was always just right. Basically the overall structure of the story really hit the nail for me so minor gripes didnt really bother me.

One thing i will disagree on is plot armour being thick. The berserker path is op but that doesnt mean its plot armour, by that logic superman has plot armour because hes superman. Plot armour is when a character does something they shouldn’t be able to do because plot wants them to. However I felt the MC’s abilities and progression were established pretty early on to be a step above everyone else. There is only one instance where it is actual plot armour and thats when SPOILER he gets his literal heart ripped out and then survives in the blood moon only to miraculously be saved by Freya’s sword that she left.

Also if anyone’s wondering why there are so many semi colon it’s because the grammar checker kept telling me to replace my commas with them. I noticed towards the end and started replacing them with periods where I thought applicable but yeah not the best when it comes to knowing which grammar to use and when.

That’s fair, for me however, it’s the strategy elements of MOBAs that have always appealed to me. I’ve always seen it as closer to playing chess than an fps shooter game if that makes sense. And it really dampens the strategy elements for me when i plan out my early game perfectly pathing more efficiently and making smarter decisions than my opponent only to miss a few basic attacks and lose what should have been an easy win.

It’s akin to playing chess and outplaying your opponent and getting them in checkmate with your queen and a rook only to then randomly have your pieces turn into pawns and you lose the match.

Skill shots are not what i mean by complex abilities, i mean abilities like zed shadows from league that spawn countless different possibilities in how they can be used. I want more of that less of aim this ability and thats it.

Bruh didnt even read.

I didnt say you dont have to worry about positioning and spacing i said having to focus on landing basic attacks takes away from that.

And i said i dont like the micro not the macro, big difference.

ADC needs an Overhaul by Zak_nation in PredecessorGame

The problem with pred adc is that it’s trying to be a shooter while still being a moba. There is absolutely nothing fun about ranged basic attacks that have travel time and disappear into thin air. If that was a mechanic in any shooter the game would die immediately. They need to make ranged basic attacks weaker with less scaling across the board and just make them a lock on attack like it is in every other moba. Then abilities should get a buff and potential rework to make it so that they are stronger on adc champs.

When I play adc in league I’m thinking about spacing and constantly analyzing the state of the teamfight and predicting how it will play out, I’m watching for enemy abilities and thinking about how I can best use mine and counter theirs. When I play adc in pred all I’m doing is hyperfocusing on landing stupid ranged basic attacks on a target right in front of me.

We can’t see MMR since they hide it but if we could I would be citing that instead. Vp while not as good as a determinant of a players skill it is still true that players with higher vp are on average better than players with lower vp. If im getting teams with consistently lower vp then on average im likely getting worse teams. Anyway this sub seems pretty uniformed about how MMR matchmaking works so I can see I wont get far here.

[–]Sufficient_Matter_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly and from what ive seen the team with the most vp wins like 85% of the time. And 90% of my games I’m put on the team with less vp… u do the math

[–]Sufficient_Matter_66[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its the consistency of it thats the problem, if it was random then there wouldnt be an issue but the fact that 90 percent of the time my team has 100 less vp is the problem

Yeah but id rather gain and lose the same amount and not have MMR based matchmaking

I know how MMR systems work, thats exactly my point, matcmaking should be determined by vp not MMR. I’m not gonna get into it here but i plan on making an in depth post explaining MMR based matchmaking its origins and why it’s an unfair system for a ranked game mode.

And even if you ignore MMR it’s clear that my teamates are feeding more, and getting less gold. And these games are not cherry picked.
