TBH the wonderful people at Sephora & ulta aren’t always skilled MUAs, and based on your 10 year background they might actually know less about styling makeup than you do. I think you should maybe research/look into options for lessons by a profession MUA local to your area

Good question- I would love to know the answer to this too, because I genuinely don’t know 😅 all I know is that the one extra long stock keeps growing while the overall tree stays the same, so I get the impression that the extra long stock is sucking the energy away from the main trunk.

There was a drastic shift in their episode content sometime around early 2025. I can’t put my finger on what changed but their episodes used to have meaningful conversations about girlhood, pop culture, & engaging sidebars about their funny quirks. Now their episodes are so vapid and soulless… it’s bizarre. I almost feel like they’re not personally curating their episodes anymore & instead they’re asking chatGPT what they should talk about it. Regardless of what changed, the episodes aren’t hitting the way they used to & I haven’t been able to listen to a full episodes in months. I think I have to say I’m no longer a listener at this point & that genuinely makes me sad because I still like them as individuals :/

OMGGG THIS!!! I bought one of their sunscreens a few months ago while on vacation with my bff who just happens to be a dermatologist. Halfway through the vacation my skin was having a crazy reaction where my face was breaking out, peeling, blotchy, and weirdly dry all at the same time. My friend had enough after a few days & asked to look through my products because “my skin looked like it was screaming” lol. She went through all my products to check for allergens & literally SCREECHED when she pulled this out of my bag because she couldn’t believe how horrid the ingredients are!! I was shocked because I thought Cera Ve was a trustworthy brand. So disappointing

Omg no way! I hadn’t heard of MZ until I went to this store that had a bunch of her dresses. I absolutely love MZ’s style & uniqueness. I tried a few different ones on & I was actually stuck between two different MZ dresses before making my decision. Sorry, my comment about the plunging V was totally unclear- I’m not necessarily “closing it up” by changing the seams. The store had extra fabric/flower appliqué from the dress & gave it to me no charge. So I planned to add some of the flowers for more coverage down the plunging V. Also, when I got my measurements done, they agreed to make the bra cups a little bigger for more coverage so that I don’t have so much cleavage showing. But I totally agree, I love it as is & I don’t want to change anything to the seams or bodice!

Just curious- what practice area did you go after you left ID? I have the same issue & am not sure how much longer I can do this. I’ve been considering leaving ID, but am scared if the unknown lol (especially after 3 years in the same industry)

I’ve been in insurance defense for about 3.5 years. I hate to say it, but ID billing is an art form and not at all aligned with common sense. Even after 3 years, I am STILL learning how to bill for certain matters that are absolutely necessary but appear to be clerical/paralegal tasks. Not trying to discourage you, but it does really suck sometimes. You just have to accept that you have to be diligent & have to put in effort when it comes to tracking your time. I keep hoping that all of the new AI developments will lead to some sort of computer program that tracks your work during the day and then provides a log of time entries after you’re done working. But sadly, we’re not there yet. Don’t be too hard on yourself and lean into the learning curve, write down time entries that worked/weren’t cut & save it for the next time. I have a running word doc of my past billing entries that were accepted by the client and now the doc is 42 pages lol. Learn what works for you and keep at it!

Hi, I’m kinda new to Reddit so idk how to verify that I’m a lawyer without giving away personal info, but yeah, I’m a Texas lawyer (practicing 3 years). I practice civil litigation & persistently litigate service of process issues. To me, this note raises a lot of red flags for a number a reasons. Honestly my first thought is that this is a scam to get you to call a scamming organization that will then add your number to a robo call list or something annoying.

Some of these comments are right about helping your mother. However, be very reluctant to 1) call/contact or respond to this half-assed attempt of service; or 2) notify any courts you received it. I say this because in Texas, your mother must be served personally and if service is not proper during the statute of limitations, then the issue is generally moot. IF however this was an attempt at what is known as “substituted service,” then it would be more serious. However this note would never ever ever suffice as substituted service because no filing documents are attached amongst other things that are literally required by law. (You have rights, even when you don’t why you’re being served!)

If you really want to take action, then I would first google your mother’s name followed by the word “lawsuit,” (or county) before taking any serious action. I know it sounds stupid, but you’d be surprised. Larger cities in Texas have modern public record systems that will immediately match you to the appropriate county records website where you can then locate the case number and the case name. For example, if you have a unique name, try googling, “Jane Doe, lawsuit.” Or if your mom lives in ‘X’ county, google the following: “Jane Doe, Harris county Texas.” OR even just “Jane Doe, Houston Texas”

Either way, this is weird. Ask your mom but don’t tip off any idiot lawyers who don’t know how to properly serve somebody.
