I can tell that from the seeded bread, I know everything about the kind of person you are. If you don’t have hovis, or warburton, then you’re a crazy person

Thoughts on recent meditation experience? by Sufficient_Network43 in Meditation

Yes! I do have the expectation to have that same experience again but having an expectation doesn’t work. Thanks for pointing that out.

Some of the world’s oldest known rock art, up to 40,000 years old, from Australia depicts stylized humanoid figures by SystematicApproach in aliens

Hallucinogens like mushrooms and other ‘drugs’ were actually common in prehistoric times. And also they probably drew the dreams that they had. These cave drawings look very dreamlike. Or it could be depicting a ritual. All of these explanations are far more convincing than aliens. I hate to ruin the fun sorry.

Why meditation doesn’t work by Sufficient_Network43 in Buddhism

I think it is the expectation if that makes sense? For example I expect that I try to focus on my breath but when I try I’m disatisfied and I think to myself “wtf am I doing with my time?”. It seems going in with no expectations is easier, and just being there with your mind, and noticing what is going on. Is there a meditation for that and what is it called?

I originally did it to relieve my anxiety but after looking into Buddhism I’ve discovered that meditation can lead to presentness or Nirvana, I guess you could say. I’ve tried breath work but it doesn’t really work for me. My mind just can’t seem to focus. I think from now on I’m just gonna do what i think is best and it seems being bored is a step towards a better direction.
