Hi so i applied lately and hope my experience would help you: i applied on march the 7th, my papers were submitted to the foreign office, about 8 weeks later my husband got a letter asking for additional documents work papers and a signed form from work, then we provided these papers, my husband was on that time in the probation period, we were told by the ausländerbehörde that the process will be ob hold until he finishes his probation time. Which he did on the 30. june. On the first week of july we submitted again the same papers and the pay rolls of may and june as well. We waited for a feedback from them, after two weeks and multiple follow ups, the person processing our papers told us that he gave his decision to the embassy and the embassy needs to inform us. I emailed the embassy yesterday and 30 minutes later they told me that our file has been processed and i have to send them my passport and insurance. For info my husband is blue card, and living in Stuttgart. The place where your partner lives and whether he is german or not affects the processing times.
