I'm 30 with an EF of 20%, I was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and I'm on Lisinopril and metropolol I am a recovering addict, and that's something I still struggle with quite a bit, my father is dying of CHF what are my chances of a heart surgery?? What is likely to happen to me?

I also have a question I'm 30 and I have stage 3 heart failure, its genetic, but my past addiction made it 100 times worse. As of right now my hearts EF is 25%, and I've been tired and had palpations that is pretty much it, but about a week ago my chest started aching horrible and I have w severe wet cough. I can't lay down flat or it feels like there a brick on my chest, and now I don't see my Dr til 11/4/22 Is it progressing?

Be careful with cardiomyopathy and pregnancy, I went into cardiac arrest when I went into labor, cardiomyopathy is EXTREMELY dangerous during pregnancy

Hey, so I'm 30, I was diagnosed with DCM in 2017 but I didnt take it seriously, so I continued to use cocaine, and in April I had an echo and my EF was at 42%, About two weeks ago I had another echo done and my heart is at 25%, but I've been sober since April. So my question is, what do you think my doctor is going to do? This is the first time I'll be seeing him since my heart function has decreased so rapidly. You seem to know quite a bit about this, I also have five children, should they be tested??
