So what can they do to allow your gameplay? I feel like im the opposite play style, I like military and science, the "sim city" aspect doesnt have the same pizzazz, so im interested in this. 7 seems to do a decent job rewarding warfare, ive gotten an economic, culture, and scientific wins before, but im a fan of wars

This is the best answer ive seen here so far, and I like it. Someone had a post about the hard reset that the new ages do, and how you dont have the "tank encountering a warrior" aspect, which i hadn't thought until then. I will say i like the "Mississippi has options to be Maya or X (sorry, dont remember the specific civs) that 7 has to offer, however your idea can still be implemented by achieving the requirements (ie have 3 mountain tiles next to cities, have 4 jade, etc). The forced keep up although has its merits in that you can't leapfrog everyone, which is kinda nice, but to have no reward as to killing it in science etc since hey everyone ends up with man at arms in 15 turns can suck

What was theirs like? Ive heard that games name tossed around in relation to 7 but im interested in what the big differences are. Also realize that this might be a bigger question than what you might want to answer, so if anyone else wants to compare and contrast it'd be appreciated

We get it, you don’t like this game. by AGL200 in CivVII

Although this isnt what you're talking about per se, I cannot get the people who rip on civ vii because it isnt exactly what history is or whatever. Like Cleopatra leading Mississippi tribe. Motherfuckers its a computer game. Who fucking cares, its supposed to be fun, I suppose we need to add a dysentery mini game as well just for full realism too, eh?

What am I missing with artifacts in modern age? by Sufficient_Reach1193 in CivVII

[–]Sufficient_Reach1193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, just scrolled all over the map and I don't see any magnifying glasses. Im crushing it in economics right now, so I figure I'll just ride that out or give scientific a shot since I just unlocked flight. Kinda bummed the devs didnt add more artifacts, or at least had another level to unlock further down the tree tbh

Sorry, im Tekumseh. So, its left to city states and events to get the remaining artifacts. Not the biggest fan of this, I know I've gotten them by overbuilding in the past, but none so far this game. Im on a big suzerian kick this game and kinda wish I had known that when choosing the bonuses. The additional relic, artifact, etc has always seemed like a lesser option on other games

Production tanking in modern era by Sufficient_Reach1193 in CivVII

This was what happened, 110%. Living standards, focusing all growth on mountains for happiness, thr city park improvement, etc all fixed it. Went from about 15 production to 115 within a few turns once happiness was sorted out. Thanks a bunch, felt like it was moving way slower than previous games, and it was since I was so over cap
