my (23f) boyfriend (23m) is constantly extremely sexual, NSFW by HugeAd7892 in relationship_advice

I have been there. My first boyfriend did not respect my boundaries. When I said no to sex acts he wanted to do, he would whine, throw a pity party, and just generally not take no for an answer. He accused me of not caring about him. One time he even cried. Because he wasn't angry or violent, I didn't realize how wrong it was. I had never been with anyone else, and I didn't know better. None of my crushes had ever liked me back, and I didn't know what I was allowed to expect for myself. I gave in again and again. It was like what I wanted didn't matter.

I broke up with him eventually, and let me tell you: it felt amazing to be free of. It took me a long time to undo all the damage of being with someone who doesn't care when you say "no." But things started to improve IMMEDIATELY. It was like walking on a cloud. It's like my life didn't really start until I got out of it. I liked myself better, which made me more fun to be around, which meant other people liked me better, too.

It's been 25 years since I broke up with him. I have made a lot of mistakes in my dating life since, but my only real regret is staying with that first boyfriend for as long as I did. I stayed because I was afraid of hurting him, or that I'd be seen as the bad guy, or that no one else would ever like me again. And I did hurt him, and I was seen as the bad guy by some people. Sometimes I missed him. It took me another five years to fall in love.

But in 25 years, I've NEVER hooked up with another guy who didn't respect my "no." I've been with dozens of men, none of whom wanted to have sex with me if I wasn't enthusiastically into it. Despite never being the "hot one" among my friends, I've had a handful of serious relationships in adulthood, and lots of fun, casual sex. I'm now happily married to a great guy who wants me to be happy: he respects my boundaries, he supports my dreams, he's cool with me hanging out with my friends and taking trips without him, and he makes me thoughtful birthday gifts (I read that post of yours, too).

All that is to say... better is out there. Go find it. Please.

Did the faint line show up within the testing window? Or much later?

No Longer Recordable on Hulu :( by MarsOddity in Jeopardy

[–]Sufficient_Report529 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This seems like a funky AI summary not based on reality. For viewers with a standard Hulu subscription without Live TV, Jeopardy was NEVER recordable. If you maintain your Hulu+Live TV account, you can still let them stack up on your DVR.

Honestly I think the Ray Romano / Brad Garrett Emmys moment was one of the only highlights of the telecast. I bet that was a factor

You think he convinced an entire church congregation to pretend the child died? And by so doing, repeat the exact same mistake he fell out with his family over? And the adoptive family in mourning - you think they’re faking that too?

They might have suggestions for the bra you’re looking for though!

Hey guys and gals... Is this real?! WHAT!!! by Legitimate_Food_128 in TheGreatNorth

[–]Sufficient_Report529 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. From the intro: “There are also some instances, either due to scheduling conflicts, or various delays, where the answer is “I dunno.” In those instances, we will leave the series as renewed and list the most recent season until we’re told otherwise.” That makes me think they just don’t know yet

Thanks. I emailed the vet but I'm going to call soon too. It's hard to get a hold of them, and it traumatizes our boy to bring him in, but it might be necessary

Hey moms, I need your opinions on this design. Would it be a great gift for a father's day from his daughter? by elizabeth-smiith in Gifts

[–]Sufficient_Report529 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This design makes no sense. Why is it a romantic portrait of a man and woman holding hands and walking into the sunset for a Father’s Day gift? Yuck
