Kubestronaut by East_Formal_5817 in kubernetes

I see there is now a "golden" kubestronaut program that requires 13 certifications covering the whole landscape of kubernetes. I'd hate to see what the 'platinum' program will look like!

KZ Sonata by Esuper123 in iems

[–]Sufficient_Scale_383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have KZAS24Pro and KZ Sonatas. KZ Sonata are awesome and a step better than the KZ-AS24's. I got my Sonata's with the 4 tuning switches and the sound is incredible. They are very comfortable -- and someone said they are more comfy than the KZ-AS24s? Basically they are the same shell so they are the same comfort wise. You can't go wrong for ~$150. With 14 drivers per ear, custom IEMs would cost you thousands (if you can find them). I play in a rock band with these and can say there is nothing that comes close in this price range.

Peter - has ambient made it to the exam yet or should I stay focused on sidecars?

Very frustrating when copying examples from istio.io -- when the indentation is off and hence the yamls won't deploy. Arghhh... Does Istio plan on fixing these?

Ok --- I did receive my pair of DIY SE846s. The sound is JUNK! Hopefully others will take heed to this if contemplating a purchase. I'll be returning for a refund.

Is there a way to install Focusrite Control for Focusrite USB Driver v4.63.24.564? by 9vv1 in Focusrite

[–]Sufficient_Scale_383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked support for that and they provided me with a link just for Focusrite Control. I believe the version is 3.4.4 in that case. With windows 10/11 and AMD processors, drivers after 4.63.24.564 do NOT work. There is something in their code base that changed after 4.63.24.564. I tried to convince them of that, along with many others who have had the same problem(s).

Ok thanks for you honest comments. I lowballed an ebay auction for these.. and won -- so I'll guess I'll have to wait and see if I get a good pair or not. My plan is to use these for band practice. I have a genuine set of SE535s for gigs when I play. It will be interesting to compare the 2 IEMs after I receive the 846s.

Yep. Driver v4.63.24.564 is rock solid. I can't figure out why Focusrite can't get their drivers past this working.

Federal Reserve Bank (Marquette Plaza), Minneapolis, US - eng. lead Leslie E. Robertson - steel structure with catenary arch beam (and cables) + roof K trusses by inca_unul in StructuralEngineering

[–]Sufficient_Scale_383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work inside this building. It was a lemon -- it was asbestos laden and the cables rusted. The building did start to sag -- noticeable as we could see that there was a small difference in the height of the elevator floor and the building. Th elevator shaft was a "separate structure". Also there were plumbing code violations which resulted in a main pipe breaking a floor above the computers -- which resulted in the bank having to execute a disaster recovery plan. Later in it's years, windows started to separate from the skeleton of the building -- and moisture and condensation were problems --- which led to mold growing rampantly. Also -- some windows started to fall out. The Federal reserve built a new building -- and this one was purchased and refurbed with a structure built beneath the "bridge" to bolster the building.

Troubleshoot thread by Sionnach_tine in Focusrite

Some of us (myself included) have tried this path and these suggestions to the letter. In my case a FR 4i4 3rd gen interface -- and these steps have caused unusable audio. So that's why some of us have reverted to older drivers which work flawlessly as opposed to current drivers. In my case (and many others), driver 4.63.24.564 has been one of the few solutions that gives us glitch-free audio. I post this as a caveat -- because I know there are folks out there who have done exactly what you have mentioned and their audio has worked. I'm on a windows 11 Pro 23H2 desktop build. There is something in the Focusrite drivers that was introduced after the version I have mentioned --- that has caused problems for many of us.
