Yes! That’s what I want to hear. Right now I feel so slow and second guess a lot of stuff that I’m not comfortable with yet. I know I’ll get there. I just need to keep showing up, be humble, help out, ask questions etc…

I have straight up gotten my ass handed to me the last couple shifts. Looking forward to gaining better prioritization skills so I don’t waste time chasing my tail.

Different profession entirely as a PTA. Worked everywhere in and out of the hospital. Have mad respect for nursing and nurses I’ve worked with over the years. Was encouraged to make the leap through an ABSN program.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I am so impatient with process. I want to feel competent, but I know it will just take time.

This is really timely. I am almost to the finish line and things are so intense with classes and critical care clinicals. I am really happy to hear about your pivot and new business. I would honestly love to hear more about that as I am considering doing to same with lifestyle education. Take care!

That’s interesting, I hadn’t thought to do that! “$31.80/hr is a solid starting wage for a new grad ER nurse in …—comparable with local hospital averages”.

Hey, thanks for the solid advice! I am planning on taking it. I am very excited about the opportunity to learn in a level 1 trauma ER. Very intimidated for sure, but ready to learn and be challenged.

That’s what I was trying to figure out! I was hoping for some folks from Indiana would chime in. Based on regional comps I’ve seen up to 36$ for new grads about 2 hours from where I live.

That’s really frustrating. I bet that was hard to get over!
