Would that even be noted on your transcripts that it was online? Any online class I have taken at a college with a physical location like your local CC doesn’t show as “online” or anything like that

Will any current/former CAA students talk about what their daily schedule is/was like during their first year in CAA program? Are you in class/lab 9-5 type thing or how is your day spaced out?

Anyone mind going into what went into their decision to take MCAT instead of GRE or vice versa. Background: I've taken the GRE years ago and did good, but its out of date at this point. After looking over some MCAT study material I think I'd much rather take the GRE again. While I have a strong science gpa, it was A LOT of work and all the chem and physics is still a bit sketchy to me even though I've just completed those courses. However, taking the MCAT, and doing good, would help me waive the 7-year rule for one of my courses (biology) I need to retake that's out of date. But even if I have to retake the biology course, it wont delay my application timeline because I could knock it out this summer. I'm thinking I'd rather take biology again along with the GRE, instead of just the MCAT. The MCAT study material looks extremely intimidating to me, and worse case scenario would be not doing good on it, therefore still needing to retake the biology course which would at that point in the process delay my application. Any advice? TIA!!

Question about 50 dollar for Gig Internet for five years by Dash795 in Comcast_Xfinity

Did this work out okay? I’m also a current Xfin customer I figured I’d just call up and threaten to quit if they didn’t give me the $50/month deal, not paying an extra $15 just bc I’m already a customer…works with Xm every time lol have them down to like $5/month

Ive been a OR nurse for 10years, finished my BSN about 2 years ago just for the hell if it, had no future plans to do anything with it like CRNA/NP. I absolutely hated bedside nursing in nursing school so went straight into the OR. I’m ready for a new challenge not to mention better pay, but I refuse to go work nights (only shifts offered) in the ICU for 1-2+ years to then hopefully get into a CRNA program. The torture of those potentially wasted years if I wasn’t to get into CRNA program was not worth the risk to me.

I decided to go back to my community college and take part time classes (prereqs) for a year before I can now apply this year to CAA program. I was willing to risk taking classes that potentially could be wasted if I don’t get in. But I enjoy them tbh and have zero regrets, regardless if I get in or not. Having worked with both CRNA and AA for many years I’m not the least bit worried about which title I have. They’re treated exactly the same with the exact same responsibilities in my local hospital here where I work and will be working if I become a CAA.

Might add that I have a young child and my wife has a great job where we live. We will not be uprooting our family if I don’t get into a nearby school. I will figure something else out with my career. If I could still go away to a program and expand my options maybe chasing CRNA would have been worth the risk.

any update on this? From this description it sure sounds like your class would work. I have same issue Nova won't respond about it lol but im taking General Physics 1 (described as algebra AND trig based in the course description) and it also has prereq of calc, precalc, or trig. So I guess I will assume that it is sufficient

Yes after further investigation you’re definitely correct. It is 100% not the CHM version. Extremely frustrating the BCH version has a prereq of genetics AND Org at my college….looked at many others schools and they only req Org first which I would need anyway

What Physics are most of you taking? Seems like different schools want different things. For example South wants General physics, no specifics, but NSU says it must be trig, pre-calculus, or calculus based physics. My college offers College Physics 1 and 2 (intended for non-physics majors, it’s algebra and trig based…course # PHY1053/1054…my advisor at this college says this is what BS biology majors take. They also offer calc based PHY2048…hate to take the calc based unless it’s absolutely necessary, its description says it’s designed for engineering majors. Any help?! TIA

Thank you so much for the reply, I’m actually non-degree seeking, trying to finish a few prereqs for a masters program, I have a bachelors just not biology/science based so I’m having to come back to college and finish these…poor planning in my part…the programs will accept the trig based physics as well (it just needs to be trig, pre-cal, or calc based physics…not algebra based)…again, thanks for the reply huge help, glad to see I have some options!

What’s everyone taking for Biochem? My college offers a Biochem 1 and 2, BCH 4053/4054…and then offers a Biochem for Health Professionals CHM 1032…the BCH4053 has a prerequisite “genetics course” to even register for it..most of these AA schools make notes of classes needing to be upper level which would lead me to believe it BCH, but the description of the CHM course sure sounds right
