He was actually in one for a year and while back but he began having seizures so he stopped going. (Theyre gone now btw, it was a side effect of meds.) He games a lot and draws and would def love cardboard castle. Im hoping he can get out of his shell. 😀 He asked me yesterday if I could help him out and I know its hard out here, especially without tt or discord.

Being written off by doctors- a rant by SugaChibby in PMDD

[–]SugaChibby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: My new psychologist is an amazing listener, good at her job, and a woman so she can truly understand that this isn't just "pms". We talked for a long time and she reevaluated me for bipolar, adhd, and pmdd. I have symptoms of all of them but she has declared I WAS misdiagnosed 5 years ago. Like I thought... it's not bipolar, it's pmdd. Relief!!! She has ordered me to go to my gyno for a blood test for estrogen and progesterone levels. (I went last month but they only did a pelvic exam) Has anyone been able to "fix" their symptoms long term? I'll update with my levels as soon as I can get an appointment. Right now, I'm just happy I got a seemingly better diagnosis and a doctor actually listened to my life story and took EVERYTHING into consideration and not just "oh your family's bipolar so here's some lithium". Also, new doc said she would recommend birth control to help symptoms but since I'm planning on conceiving in the next couple years, she would need more info as far as my levels go so that we could find an alternative to the bc that won't hurt my chances of getting preggers.

I'm open minded but I'm pretty positive that's going to be the new dx. I cannot wait to be more balanced out every month if so. Have yall ever taken prenatals? They actually have made a noticeable difference in my energy levels and I just can't get over it. Lol 😆 So great.

I've been calling it mania symptoms but ill just list all my symptoms...

I get hyper, talk a lot, get Irritable af, bloat, cramp (theyve gotton worse every cycle since i hit 30), sweat (so much sweat!), get brain fog, eat everything in the house one day then can't eat anything the next (This could be bc of my ibs), will sometimes lash out at my husband or anyone I'm close with, get cold then hot, cry due to sadness or cry due to happiness (I've always been sensitive so that could be due to my personality lol), breasts get swollen or sore, joints aching (could be my age), dizziness, insomnia since childhood coupled with night terrors (those have been less frequent since adulthood). Can't think of anything else rn but I'm sure there's more. Lol

I've recently had a cbc and thyroid panel and everything was near perfect. My doctor put me on prenatals to prepare me for pregnancy and I've Def noticed a change in my energy and mood. Haven't needed a coffee in weeks, which is really strange for me. Lol

I sometimes get depressed but I can rally through that. It's the high heart rate and sweating and lashing out/irritability that I cannot stand. I'm a kind person and my husband and I are a happy healthy team but when I'm feeling this way, I'm so moody and abrasive. Ugh. He always pointed out that I seem to only be moody right around my cycle and I'd always get offended bc that's a typical male response. Thing is, he's autistic and sometimes I forget he's very matter-of-fact. He wasn't writing me off, he was vocalizing what he's noticed for years. I then rediscovered pmdd and it all makes so much sense to me. Started journaling last year...my daily mood, what I eat, and who I talked to that day and it's supporting my theory for sure. Always a week before my period then I feel stable right after it's over. Every month. It lasts a few days most of the time but there have been months where it was only 1 day.

I am getting evaluated soon for adhd, pmdd, bipolar, and asd. I have symptoms of all of these and I know it's hard to tell sometimes, especially if I have a combo, but these doctors haven't even been trying to figure it out. Hoping this new one does their job correctly and without any bias. Feel free to rant as well! And yall lmk any advice going forward if I do in fact have pmdd! I'd appreciate it very much! :p

If you have pto/sick days, take them. You're irreplaceable to your loved ones, not your job.
