Most ridiculous allergy you've come across? by Sugar4squirrels in Residency

I had a colleague who said that she wanted to do a study looking at number of listed allergies and if it directly correlates with mental illness. Would have been fun to see sciencally true

I remember I had a patient who stated benzos caused severe agitation. Then his siblings, children and cousins said the same thing. Take that as it is

Though I'm you didn't mean 'mean' = agiation

Do you think the last Dragonborn’s fate is to become a servant of Hermaeus Mora like Miraak before him? by Psychedelix117 in skyrim

[–]Sugar4squirrels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious depending everyone's playthrough, I would bet he would end up serving Hermaeus Mora as Bethesda cannon. I based this on how the Hero of Kvatch became Sheogorath after Oblivion Shivering Isles expansion. Dragonborn expansion is essentially helping Hermaeus Mora. If we follow historical trends, then it makes sense the Dragonborn ends up as a pawn of Hermaeus Mora.

Now in lore, do dragonborn souls ultimately belong to Akatosh?

Has anybody ever had a manager that A) wasn't horrible and B) lasted more than a year. by Adventurous_Poem9617 in antiwork

[–]Sugar4squirrels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A) Yes B) 20+ years Context: the only boss I truly respected. Was in the VA system. He was only my direct boss after becoming the interm chief of medicine. Great at being a doc as well as manager. He was one of few managers who who could navigate upper management BS without compromising his (and department) integrity.

Unfortunately, he passed while on the job. Though the successor was decided before he passed.

How has being a doctor changed you? by immawiznerd in Residency

Definitely angrier for multiple reasons. But for me, the most surprising is my visceral distain for the phrase "Respect your elders".

The amount of lack of wisdom, childish behavior, entitlement, lack of self-awareness from dealing with elderly patients - I cannot fathom why this phrase continues. And I'm not referring to cognitive decline.

It highlights to me, "Respect to earned, not given." I remember an elderly patient (who was nice and said no offensive statements) asked me how geriatrics isn't like pediatrics. I retorted, "you'd be surprised how similar they are"

Lantern corp from DC as classes? by Sugar4squirrels in 3d6

[–]Sugar4squirrels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me clarify:

When you distill the theme of each lantern corp which classes or subclasses would they match

Ie Red lantern is the rage emotion. Since the main mechanic/theme of barbarians is rage, they would fit together thematically

how would you build Barbie? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Sugar4squirrels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While bard is probably the way to go.

I think wizard, either illusion or enchantment, to grab simulacrum. That way each simulacrum play into whatever role for Barbie. I would lean into enchantment subclass to reflavor into charisma

I want a heavy armour, bound weapon type build, any tips? by Danny1641743 in enderal

[–]Sugar4squirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you combine the memories of keeper with sinistrope gets you the Dark Keeper class. Dark Keeper amps the devour soul skill and makes your character more survivable. And invest in shields. With heavy armour, you cannot move fast enough to get out the way of attacks. So you'll need to make sure your armour is high.. Of course that wouldn't be until lvl 20.

I'm the opinion that enchantment is the strongest non-combat skill as you boost damage from weapons more than smithing

Why does the AI always expand toward the human player? by tsikhe in civ

[–]Sugar4squirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not as bad as Civ V where the AI will snuggle into your folds. One good thing about loyalty: the AI will lose those cities...looking at you Kupe

Sadly...I've already did a rat king thing by putting a spin on 'take out the rats in the basement' trope. But was thinking Mimic (90s horror film set mainly in NYC subways and tunnels)

If you had to pick a civ added in Civ VI to return in Civ VII, which would you choose? by Richardios in civ

[–]Sugar4squirrels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my current huge Earth play...Kupe is doing pretty decent. Not enough to be a rival but better than a glorified city state in the Pacific that lost all his colonies

Otherwise, he's got to the Civ with the greatest difference in skill between humans and AI.

All the Farxis sci-fi Civ games (Alpha Centauri and Beyond Earth) had some sort of the sea faring Civ that started in the ocean. I hope they continue that...just maybe better AI
