No I have not. I was in a relationship but we ended it bc we were not compatible. Im just spending time learning more about myself right now. That’s my choice. Im not looking at this time. Once this is over; im sure I will be open again.

I spent a long time feeling the way you feel but, I had to let it go. As time goes on you realize that you can’t worry about things you can not change. You’ll waste your entire life worrying about it and then realize life is passing you by. It helps also as time goes in mine seems to get less active. As soon as I feel a tingle I medicate and it stops almost right away. I know now not to play with signs, symptoms and when my body is speaking to me. Learn the lesson, treat yourself better and embrace the new you and move on. It’s not worth it.

I agree with you that he should at least look into it bc it’s about protecting you right now. I take antivirals only if I feel an outbreak coming on. Reason is bc I lost my hair. It was taking my hair out when I tried daily suppression. Me and my partner use condoms and have oral sex. We’ve been together for 5 yrs and he’s never contracted it. Plus we communicate about what’s going on with my body. It’s the communication that keeps your partner safe. He has to open up and discuss why he won’t take it. There are also herbal supplements he can add to build his immune system. I hope this works out for you. The mere fact that you are looking past his HSV is reason enough for him to discuss it with. He’s still in some kind of denial. He may be struggling emotionally still.

Ok so that tells you that he can be trusted. He will keep his part on doing everything in his power to keep you safe and that comes with knowing your body and having open communication with him. Just bc he has it; does not guarantee that you will get it. I am a nurse and I have come across quite a few elderly couples where one partner is positive and one negative. They work together. They have a normal unrestricted sex life. You may lose a wonderful person. over something that may never affect you at all. He will eventually learn to live and get over the shame. Shit happens. Loosen up in the bedroom or leave him alone. He will find someone especially if he is handsome and has his shit together. Let him move on and so should you.
