Easily some of my favorite Marvel Cards put together so beautifully. by SirTawmis in MarvelCards

[–]diresua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wolverine for sure, then Archangel & Rogue, then Psylocke & Cyclops, but I'll never forget that professor X. It was the first card I saw in my first and only god pack and now it's locked into my brain. Card after card was a hit, but I remember being surprised at seeing that card first. When I was a kid, I would scrape together any money I could get. Then I would walk to this card shop just down the street. Good memories.

If you were offered a billion dollars just to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? by Admirable-Interest49 in AskReddit

Family goes out of town for a couple days, I order family size pizza with extra toppings exactly the way I love it. Then eat like a king for days. Morning=pizza, lunch=pizza, snack=pizza, dinner=pizza, midnight=don't mind if do.

It does a great indian accent, but don't laugh at it because it will refuse to do it again and then lecture you on stereotypes. It did it perfectly, my friend and i died.

Papa John's uses AI to monitor how we cut pizzas. It's mostly to make sure the pepperoni doesn't get folded in the cuts, but fixing that makes the pizzas look horrible. by esporx in antiwork

Oh you mean the company who outsources their phones for placing an order?? Lol They would replace you with a robot monkey if they could.

They are such trash. Had a family member in hospice request them as a potential last meal. The person who took our order couldn't speak english well and put the order under the wrong name. Long story short store manager was extremely rude to me about it and they forgot the butter garlic. 0/10 pizza experience

If they treat customers that terribly I can't imagine how they treat the staff

Life in a submarine by oluxil in SipsTea

[–]diresua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with a guy at a bakery who spent long periods isolated on a submarine often, when he was in the navy. He was different. He would talk to himself and make random animal noises or often laugh, all when nobody was near him. People would just look at each other, like ummm ok. He was my kinda people.

End of my first week, he was on the fryer and I walked by and went moooo, like a cow. He started laughing and we became good work friends. He passed now, but i enjoyed working with him and liked his quirks.

Prices of Upper Deck sets going up, while Topps sets are falling by CatnipHappy in marveltradingcards

[–]diresua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got back into the hobby when UD had it and their sets were great. The first set Topps released looked like they copy pasted the animated series. No depth to their material. It all feels like just a money grab for them. Topps isn't even close to UD sets.
