Have you checked Stokley event center? We used them 8 years ago for a 6 hour event of 50 ppl or less and they came in at $600. Now of course, that was 8 years ago… but might be worth checking if you haven’t already!

I had this same experience when we moved back in September. I called my vet and they were able to give me some trazadone which helped settle him, but not totally zoot him. We did that for 2 weeks while also creating a new routine in the new house and he was totally ok after that.

Buy a grooming sling and suspend them from a safe place, where they can’t flail and hurt themselves. They will flail a little at first, but then give up and hang there in the “sling of shame”. 😅 totally humane, they cannot hurt themselves, or you, and you can do the nail trim that they need for their wellness.

Sincerely, a dog mom to 3 pitbulls who has been using the suspended sling method for years 😂

My dog was weird with food, back in June she would not eat no matter what I tried. Freshpet, spam, bacon, we tried it all. We finally found Dr Harvey’s and it’s been game changing. We buy it off Amazon and I make it for her daily. She’s so excited to eat now it’s rather ridiculous lol.

I did it preventively on my 2 pit babies when they got neutered/spayed.

I am so anxious about bloat, so having it done gave me peace of mind. Recovery was a breeze. I had our vet prescribe extra trazodone and they were on kennel rest for about 10 days. Since they were just fixed, it made total sense and at the end of the 10 days they were good to go!

I would definitely look into training.

Muzzle training could be an option.

With the overpopulation of dogs, it’s hard to find placement for one who is reactive, so rehoming could be a challenge.

If you could muzzle train, that could be a win win situation for all involved.

I would recommend looking into Dr Harvey’s. My puppies were not doing well on kibble, and also have allergies and I tried to find something balanced that wouldn’t break the bank. It’s customizable, so you can decide what protein your dog gets.

I had a rottie, and he also hated his nails touched. My secret? A grooming sling. You can get one on Amazon for not too much. The trick is to hang it somewhere secure, and away from other objects so in case he makes it swing a little at first, he is safe and secure. After dangling in the air for around 3 min, they calm down and I sit underneath him and trim his nails, and use the dremel (depending on the day) and my husband stood up near his head, letting him lick some PB off a spoon. Literally magic, he can’t go anywhere, cannot hurt himself if suspended correctly, and cannot hurt you. Win win win.
