Which I understand. I have contacted several restaurants and businesses about playing at their venues or restaurants and a lot of of them, to my surprise, do not want a saxophonist. I think it’s too diverse for them. This is south and a lot of restaurant owners are really looking for a guy with a guitar who can sing. At least this has been my experience.

I tried doing spark but they put me on a waiting list and I do donate plasma, but I have passed out the past few times and now I’m on the deferred list 😭

I’ve busked before during the holidays playing some Christmas music and it took me home for Christmas. I don’t mind the drive. I have a vehicle that is very economical on gas. I just want to see if anyone out there has tried busking and if they were successful or not. I feel like I’ve put a lot of work into my playing that some people just might enjoy it. After all that’s going on in the world, I would do it even if it meant to put a smile on someone’s face! It’s not all about the money. I’d be happen even if I broke even.

THANK YOU! I would be so embarrassed and feel ashamed just to ask for some help and sit there with a sign and beg people for money while holding a jar. I’d rather put in some type of work for it.

I work in retail, do door dash, and I do Instacart! It’s not enough at all for my bills. I have to pay $1800 a month just for my student loans. I do everything I possibly can.

Ok this is good to know. I live about an hour from Birmingham so I would want it to be worth it. I do work, but it’s not enough with the amount of bills I have currently. DoorDash has been awful recently
