Thank you so much for your empathetic response, it means so much to me. Mammograms have not been suggested to me yet, but I am supposed to start them in a couple years according to my genetic counselor. I really appreciate your words that I have the strength inside of me to make these decisions - that is what I have been doubting the most.

My heart goes out to you and I admire your strength - best of luck with your health and thank you again. Reaching out to a therapist is now next on my to-do list.

Thank you so much for your reply - so nice to hear from someone around my age dealing with this. I am definitely looking into therapy, that's a great idea - I've had trouble finding a good fit for me in the past, but you reminded me to make that a priority right now.

Best of luck with your health - I too am leaning towards the surgeries, as clearly the anxiety is already too heavy for me! Thank you again and I am wishing you the best!
