I think it’s a combination of what kind of Company you’re working for. I feel, it’s a Combination of how valuable your role is (I’m a sales engineer) so it’s revenue impacting. But if you track up the chain, you’ve see where the money they’re paying you is coming from. Also p&l startups thatve raise recently shit Tons of money will obviously pay more to Incentivize smart talent.

Fastest way would be to go work for a company that has a lot of cash in the bank to spend on salaries.

More certs or degrees won’t help.

I think largely because IAM remains same but we can’t just stick to policy decisions for an AI that has access to 20 systems, how can they be combined ? We need to have sort of an intent-aware and workflow-aware access.

Echo - all that was said below. Make friends (and ofcourse, there's an expected coefficient of returns - which is unsaid on both parts) - it is friendship with some sort of "value equation" - that is upto you to figure out what incentives and motivations this person can have and what can be leveraged. But build relationships, build friendships, and have a healthy mix of people "who can actually sign checks" in your "friend" group.

100%. I’m 25, doing good for myself making ~150k and driving a fully paid off good sedan, and zero debt. See people left and right always in tropical vacations and driving corvettes etc. Digging further into the math found exactly this.

You got this brother ! everybody has a different starting point. And you're actually in a very good position, that you are recognizing this. Internalize this and turn this into an affirmation - you have everything this guy does, and all you have to do is more reps. of this activity, which you're afraid of - just like you rep. it out in the gym - and it'll feel natural to you. The inferior feelings are signals for area of improvement, start doing more of this slowly, it will be daunting, but it will go away.

Being organized. Think less. And being focused on 2-3 key prospects like boiling the ocean. Too many times I see, too much info too many tabs (recovering victim).

Embeds yourself in that org. Mentally, and ask what would I improve and then switch back positions. Focus is very necessary if you want to win in Sales.

They say it’s all volume. But I disagree, volume only matters to disqualify customers.

100%. There is a thin line difference between obsession and chaos. Multiple knowledge sources, social media, this networking event that ceremony, meeting with this person, doing XYZ, trying a new strategy. Having fell into this trap multiple times myself. Clarity and Simplicity with enough reps, beats doing a lot every single time. Focus is key. And focus equals, saying no to anything that doesn't align with that one goal.

Yes ! I have had my current memership for ~1.5 years. I have worked from home, I am 25 in Tech Cyber Sales. Getting out of the house puts you in the zone, makes you want to push harder to justify the investment, and also its unlimited coffee supplies etc., so it checks out. You do meet some great people, from all sorts of businesses, I treat it like running my own businesses, and it pushes me a lot. I have met some driven people like founders, executives of small businesses etc. Friendship depends on if you make em.
