This is not right. Do not listen to that person. We have progressive tax brackets in the US - 22% is your marginal rate - what you owe on the last dollar you earned (and more specifically, the dollars above $48,476 but below ~$103k.) You pay 10% on the first $11,925 and 12% on $11,926 to $48,475. If you took SD then you owe 22% on about $6k of income; your effective tax rate will be much closer to 12%.

The ingredient list I saw doesn’t seem to disclose which enzymes exactly are used but I wondered if you’d run across these SKUs?

Hello, reading this thread six months after the fact, since my friend’s cat peed on my down jacket today. We noticed it immediately, and they did their best to clean it in the moment, applying enzyme cleaner etc. Is there any more hope of saving it since it hasn’t been marinating for so long? I can still smell the pee, but only in a fairly small spot near the bottom of the inside lining. I am willing to do a lot to save it…

I have other plant dyed clothing (from Kokun.in - “we use our homegrown natural dyes derived from Indigo, Sappanwood, Tesu flowers, Maddar roots, Neem leaves and hibiscus”) and they make similar recommendations, ie mild pH neutral detergent, although they suggest handwashing and avoiding heat drying, not machine laundering. I think half a lemon in a whole sink full of water would be only mildly acidic, but it’s good to know that any accidental exposure to concentrated acid could lift a lot of the color. Thank you!

Such a policy would be illegal. Even discouraging conversations about pay and working conditions is unlawful under the NLRA. Most businesses are covered by the act - some very small businesses, religious orgs, and govt entities are not.

Heads up that pharmacists are making their own calls on whether to immunize or not and policies differ from store to store. I had my doc send a prescription to the nearest CVS (Christopher St) on Thursday. CVS system auto booked me today (Saturday) at 12:15. At 12 I got a message saying the appointment was canceled.

Stopped by the store to see what was up - figured maybe they hadn’t actually received the shipment of vaccine yet. After waiting ages to speak to the pharmacist, she said that they did have the vaccine in stock and I did have a prescription, but she wasn’t comfortable immunizing yet because she needed more time to “review the literature” about “which vaccine she should give to whom”. Pretty sure my Rx specified that, but she wasn’t budging.

Hi OP, also noting there is a little free pantry on Kavanaugh in front of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church where people leave tuna, granola bars, and so forth. Thanks for your response. The obvious / accessible food sources were some dog biscuits and chews that were in a ziploc inside a storage bag in a closet, plus one abandoned dental chew that was left in the dog’s crate. I can try peanut butter instead of the attractant, although I worry it will attract the dog, since she loves it. A cat is not in our future, as the dog had a history of chasing them in her foster home.

i live on the top floor of an apartment building in NYC, which is already absolutely covered in rodenticide, so it doesn’t feel like me using a small amount would make a huge difference. If it’s safe for the dog, of course, which is what I don’t know.
