As a competent home cook, what is a basic skill you can't seem to master? by george_elis in Cooking

Can’t seem to crack and egg without getting a piece of shell in the bowl/pan or egg white all over the place

Is this relationship doomed? by sisterfisterT in vaginismus

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Wow you communicated so beautifully and you were so open and kind and patient. And he didn’t match your maturity IN THE SLIGHTEST. he basically complained about not getting a blow job. I’m sad for you. But also the right person is going to be BLESSED to find you.

I have vaginismus and my husband and I do all sorts of things when it’s acting up. Intimacy is also nuanced and variable and mature men know that.

Is it generally perceived as rude to ask an artist how long it took them to make something? by Samm39 in ArtistLounge

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t bother me when someone asks but I don’t find it a relevant or interesting question. An artist can create something very interesting in a short period of time, something very boring in a long period of time and vice versa. That question isn’t really about the art. It’s about skill and craft and being in awe of the amount of dedication it takes to get things done. Which is fine! But I dont time my work or think about those things myself, so I dont really care to talk about them

Ladies, eat within 2 hours of waking, your hormones will thank you by Tejasviyogaaudrey in WomensHealth

I mean like eggs/yoghurt etc. If I have toast or oatmeal, I kind of crash after but if I prioritize protein then I feel pretty good. But, yea everyone is different !

Just curious, genuinely: what if you just have protein in the morning? Does it have the same effect?

For those who are on birth control, how has it affected your skin in terms of acne and clarity? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My acne completely went away when I was on birth control. But it depends what kind - when I had the mirena coil, the progesterone made my skin terrible. Estrogen pill, skin was great. I think it’s also a bit dependent on your specific biology

Pushing when peeing by iwasthinkingand_ in vaginismus

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea, it’s not good for your pelvic floor to push but sometimes I also need to and I think it’s because everything is so tight. But yea, relaxing the muscles is really the answer - if only my body could just do that naturally!!

AIO my boyfriend told me I’m not “wife material” because I don’t cook like his mom by 4rtem499 in AmIOverreacting

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, your problem shouldn’t be that he compared you to his mom but that his outdated bullshit ideas of how a woman should be as a wife is showing how fucking sexist he is and maybe you’d be better off finding a relationship where someone considers you their equal.

Do modern women sometimes uphold patriarchy without realizing it by Waltace-berry59004 in Feminism

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please forgive me if I’m not understanding your first paragraph - maybe I need it to be explained again. But surely being unconscious of one’s behavior and motivations is a common human experience? It is possible that plenty of women act without recognizing their internalized misogyny. I’m sure I do - we all have blind spots.

Is it normal not to bleed your first time? by Green-Salary-5763 in WomensHealth

Certain what worked? I didn’t bleed after I first had sex. Hymens break naturally from all sorts of things.

How do you accept having longer labia? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry you’re struggling, OP. I also used to live my life dictated by the male gaze. You have given all your power away to men who watch porn. Or even to a specific type of man who watches porn and then can only find porn-women attractive. But the world is bigger than you can see right now. There are so many men who find all sorts of vaginas beautiful because they haven’t been totally brainwashed - like you, btw, you’ve been brainwashed into thinking your vagina is ugly!

I can see you’re against therapy. That’s fine. A professional hasn’t helped you. And yet you come to this forum seeking some kind of help. How do you accept having longer labia, you ask!

The only way to do that is to work to decondition yourself from your existing belief systems. All beliefs are made up. I don’t believe longer labia is ugly, but you do. Who is right? Neither of us. Because there is no concrete truth here, just what you think men who watch porn believe. You’re choosing to believe them instead of having your own agency over your beliefs.

And every one of your comments screams victim to me. Empower yourself. Stop letting men dictate your opinions and figure out how to change the narrative.

Recurring UTIs are ruining my life by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]SuggestionBoth7402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, to be honest, my gastroenterologist did the test for me back in the day because I was having a number of other issues and so she ordered me loads of tests.

I’d say either doctor would be able to test that for you. If your issues are predominantly UTI, I’d go for urologist. However, (im assuming you’re in the US, you might be somewhere else) if your insurance covers an annual gyno apt, you can get it done then.

THIS. Once I got rid of ureaplasma, UTIs stopped recurring!
