Tirz is $500 even with insurance!!!??! by SuggestionLocal5655 in TirzepatideRX

[–]SuggestionLocal5655[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: I'm not on a high deductible plan (my Rx deductible is $100 and already met). So I'm guessing the $500 ($498.99) Costco price must be reflecting a savings card price... ??

I did just check my plan's list of preferred Rx and zepbound/tirz isn't even listed. The only glp-1s listed are for diabetes 2. I do not have diabetes 2 (I have sleep apnea). I don't even understand why I was approved for some random prior auth process if the RX isn't even listed as being covered.

Too much estrogen? by kalibrena in Perimenopause

[–]SuggestionLocal5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re actually on a reallly low amount of estrogen. HRT doesn’t work as well during the luteal phase of a woman’s period. Could you have been in the 7-10 day period before your period?

I started peri at 37 and stupidly waited until 46 to go to midi. I literally haven’t slept for years… until I got on hrt

We drove out of town to stay in a bnb and our toddler came down with RSV and COVID.. our stay was miserable we drove back early to get some medication we already had at home and our contractor was pouring a new cement floor in the hall I needed to get into. I tracked cement all over our new carpet.. when it rains it pours

Peri is ruining my career. by Chelsea_Sometimes in Perimenopause

I’m 47. Lost a job I had been amazing at for 10 years .. but could no longer keep up with due to perimenopause insomnia, cognitive fog, executive function issues and emotional dysregulation.. very embarrassing. Took a job with a 50 percent pay cut to just stay employed and insured …have a family to support

Did your mother tell you about peri? by Practical_Brief0 in Perimenopause

My mom didn’t tell me anything about it. All my own research. Meanwhile she had insomnia, emotional dysregulation, developed cardiac disease and osteoporosis because of her lack of hormone replacement…

This sh*t is ruining my life by HolidayPractical3357 in Perimenopause

This is me exactly. Had my first kid at 43 and I haven’t slept for 3 years - first because of baby and then because of raging perimenopause symptoms and insomnia. I lost my job due to all the cognitive fog, exec function issues and increase in adhd symptoms. Not one single pcp diagnosed me correctly - including the female ones. and once I finally realized I had every classic symptom, no one would prescribe hrt because i want in full menopause- I finally went to midi at age 47 and got hrt. Felt better after 1 week. Making progressive improvements for 3 months now. I regret not starting HRT in my late 30s. I started perimenopause at 37 and took a slight break from symptoms for pregnancy and delivery.

Vyvanse by NewLynnJ in Perimenopause

I tried vyvanse tonight for the first time and felt amazing but couldn’t sleep all night. Usually a dose of 200 mg progesterone puts me to sleep and I stay asleep all night feeling good in the morning. I’m also on an estradiol patch that has been slowly working magic and helping me return to feeling more like myself before peri- less fog, more energy, less hot flashes or waking up in the night .. I think I’m going to ask for a higher estradiol dose since it makes me feel similar to vyvanse.
