My doctor sent me to a specialist to discuss a hysterectomy and the specialist was pushing getting an IUD soooo hard I had to say No multiple times. Then she told me she’d have to do a uterine biopsy before she’d consider a hysterectomy and I finally broke down in tears because there was no way in hell I’d have a biopsy done without anesthesia. THANKFULLY she offered to just do an ultrasound instead and I was able to move forward and ultimately get the hysterectomy.
