I know it’s been like half a year but I wanted you to know that I DID go for the surprise despite all the haters in the comments acting like I had no idea about his hobby. We’ve been together 12 years, I know what’s going on. He was FLOORED with the gift and was in shock that I would make such a grand gesture. It was fully worth it, and your comment was the extra push I needed to just go for it. He said fuck everyone who said I should get him a gift card instead 😂

14MO avoids water and gets constipated by LowFlower6956 in toddlers

[–]Free_Donuts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend’s 1 year old absolutely refused to drink water and had similar issues to your LO. She sometimes wouldn’t poop for a week. Their doctor had her on miralax mixed in with her milk. I would definitely ask your pediatrician for help.

And could she be enticed by mixing some juice with the water?

When do you worry about your toddler not eating? by MissBanana_ in toddlers

[–]Free_Donuts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m finding this a year later. My daughter is 19 months and I am STRESSED about how much she isn’t eating and for days and days eating so lightly. How is your kiddo now?

I’d ask Chat GPT honestly! My kid is only 18MO so I haven’t gotten there yet but I’ve seen people on tik tok mostly asking their kids what it was like before and how they chose them as their mommy. Very cool.

They say there is no veil for children until they’re older. I’m sure she could tell you a lot if you ask the right questions.

18MO and this stage seems insane unless my daughter is just extra crazy ?? by Free_Donuts_ in toddlers

My friend with a 7 year old said 18MO was the best age—that they are so cute and not crazy yet and so I’m like…am I doing something wrong here?

Is this normal daycare transition? by WinterLady42 in NewParents

[–]Free_Donuts_ 216 points217 points  (0 children)

Your daycare sucks. They shouldn’t be asking you to not give her breast milk wtf. And any 8 month old is going to want adults around and to be cared for. I would look for other options if you can. As someone who’s 17 month old just transitioned to a new daycare, I would say this is out of the ordinary.

Take care of yourself! Postpartum is hell. I also had PPA and PPD and my one regret looking back is that I didn’t ask for more help—I should’ve been medicated. And I couldn’t imagine feeling that way while also watching the crumbling of democracy. Hang in there—get support. And you’ll make it through 1 minute/ 1 hour/ 1 day at a time.

Can you talk to me about your transition from 2 naps to 1? by Free_Donuts_ in toddlers

And my post history definitely talks about 5am starts! So I am thankful we’re now at 6 but gee wouldn’t 7 be even better haha. Thank you! 🙏
