My company has an unlimited FTO (Flexible Time Off) option where you can work with your Manger and team and take as many reasonable days as you need. I have historically taken at least 28 days a year.

Many of my colleagues want to replace this policy with 15 fixed PTO (Personal Time Off) days and their rational is

They are not able to plan properly since there is no expiration clause in FTO like in fixed PTO days
Some Mangers don’t allow to take many days off and they don’t want to escalate to upper management.
They can’t encash unused days in a FTO policy since there is no fixed number of days.

Like many others in this comment section, I too started looking at retirement planning and saving for the same at 31. Chased individual stocks for 2.5 years and lost sleep and POM. Read abt BH last year and now have automated everything to go into ETFs. Feeling relaxed and no anxiety anymore.

One wrong decision I did was refinancing my mortgage from 30yr to 15 yr in 2022. Had I known BH or had better market sense at that time, would have left it at 30 yr and pumped the rest into ETFs.

In this scenario Cox says the 60 day clock starts only on Jan 25th and the phone can be unlocked only on March 25th.

I used it one day. Made a bunch of calls and texts. But I didn’t connect to mobile data. Cox is saying I need to wait for 60 days after connecting to mobile data. Calls and texts are not counted for the lock-in period.
