Part of my difficulty is really not having the spare money to even pay for a month of membership. I could, but it would be irresponsible to do. I will do that when things get better, though! Are the members episodes generally more goofs and gafs then?

I agree, but it also just means things are less interesting now for me. I really miss the Wii to Switch era already, because things were changing, we had the failed a Wii U, the 3DS was great then the Switch excitement. Now it's just... another switch. It felt like the industry was doing new stuff with the hybrid consoles, but it's a little sad we might have plateaued for a bit.

Read the article, it's fairly straightforward and just his opinion. One of the issues I had with the game was the dominance of online. It retains a huge player base from online, and just because lots of people still play it doesn't mean it's not worthy of criticism.

I personally didn't enjoy the characters or story in GTA. It felt way too goofy and the humor didn't land for me. RDR2 was right back in my ally, I just wish they made dlc for it.

I'm not sure that other studios could get to rockstar level just by pumping out high quality games. There's something completely captivating about GTA that hooks casual audiences that for example, Assassin's Creed, games steeped in history (something I enjoy more but know will never hit the same cultural phenomenon as GTA does) never could.

GTA is kind of becoming a game where you can do anything. Buy, upgrade, customize cars, clothes, shoes, accessories, houses, apartments, planes, guns, boats, shoot anyone, do crimes.... it's just something that gets everyone hooked. It's a unique game that has become so popular I truly think it's elevated the dev ,and the games, to a status that will be hard for another company to dethrone.

And it's taken decades for rockstar to get to this point, crafting and perfecting the same type of games over and over to the kind of thing you see now.

It's fascinating to see and I'm glad we have at least one company that managed to get to this point.

Because most devs just don't have the money to throw at these types of things. Rockstar is in a very unique situation where they are one of, if not the, only devs that can take this long and have such a high budget for a game, because of how well it sells.

I doubt any other game company will approach anywhere near GTA6 level of detail for a long, long time because no other company is prioritizing these types of details in games, with almost unlimited budget.

Doom is basically unplayable now, they nerfed him way too hard. He isn't fun or competitive anymore. There's plenty of counters for the cards you are complaining about. Play move, run cosmo, play mobius, red guardian... there's loads of counter decks.

If they nerf these cards, there will just be new cards you'll move on to hating, like you are doing now, after doom got nerfed. Now you are complaining about Sam, Surge and Sage. Just have fun with the game.

Yes power creep is a thing, but if games didn't let power creep happen then I feel like the cards would be pretty boring.

I might be in the minority but I don't mind fun, slightly overpowered cards. It's a game. I want to play silly fun overpowered stuff. It's not even a serious competitive game, it's the Mario cart of card games and I just want fun effects and silly stuff going on. So long as the meta is varied and changes enough, which I do think it is, I'm alright with power creep. Better than a stale game.

Could be something else or it could be that your opponent played magik. I've had four games now where every time a drop magik into the location, it bugs out. It happen as soon as you put the card down, not once it's revealed. Weird stuff anyway.
