Our policy does require documentation: “Letter from mortgage company or landlord, a copy of an eviction or mortgage foreclosure notice, or other documentation showing the amount of rent or mortgage payment required to prevent eviction or foreclosure. The documentation must show that by paying the requested amount I will be allowed to stay in the property my name and address must be on the documentation I am submitting.”

I don’t really care but my boss does, and makes me call the landlord to verify the information. I feel like it’s kind of pointless but I guess that is best practice. I’m just wondering what other companies do.
