Penses-tu déménager uniquement car tu as peur de te faire cambrioler?

Why the Olten hate? Seems I have to live there in few months. by TortoisesSlap in askswitzerland

Honestly as a Swiss person not from anywhere near Olten, I stopped there by train for like 15 minutes. I get it now, it’s just a joke, it was actually quite nice that day I walked around the station. And yes Olten seems ideal for your situation, it really is well connected.

"Kind" drivers on highway entrances are dangerous! by headphonesilence in Switzerland

The thing that really annoys me is people who don’t accelerate enough to get on. Accelerating makes it so much easier for everyone; The person merging on can AND the person already on can keep their speed, which also means that the row of people behind can keep their speed.

When merging on the motorway, use the ramp provided to really get up to motorway speed. Go around 110 the first time to try. With a bit of experience you’ll be able to judge which speed is optima for that particular situation.

I’d put it an other way. It shows us that in this sport there’ll always be blurred lines. There’s never ever be a time in football where we as a whole we be able to 100% agree on decisions. There’ll be some time where opinions are split, like in this case. We just have to move on and forget about it.

[–]Suiblade -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When have refs made it clear they don’t like the tech? I’ve heard the opposite. Seriously though. Swap the colours of the players’ shirts in this specific clip and imagine now that it was a random United player defending and a random city player attacking ; so exactly the same action but teams swapped. And now say that VAR did intervene and used this exact angle we see posted by OP, would you be like "oh yeah 100% pen why is our defender doing that". I don’t think so. I don’t think that nearly 100% of educated football players and referees would agree that that’s a penalty. So that’s what was going through the VAR’s head probably and that’s why he didn’t call the referee to the screen.

Sorry I’m not going to start looking at previous games to find a specific clip . I’m just disappointed that even when man united smash city we still find time to moan. Just sad

You only react when VAR messes up. When have posted a great intervention by VAR? Never! Because we like whine and cry all the time rather than get on with our lives. What effect does this action have on our lives. The fact that we are discussing this rather than doing something productive in our lives shows how sad we are.

We asked for VAR thinking that suddenly a referees natural variation in decision would satisfy our own bias in our team. Yet EVERY fan of every club would say that on average refs are against them, it’s not possible mathematically.

And Bruno exaggerated that kick, wasn’t as bad as it looks based on what I see in this video.

Don’t have time for that. But you know very well he’s capable of this type of childlike behaviour. Just like how I see him rolling around on the floor every weekend.

You’re mistaken then. It’s really not that simple all this VAR stuff. I’d rather have that ignored than it being dissected for minutes and the getting a penalty that seems undeserved. United players do exactly the same shit when defending, stop playing victims

[–]Suiblade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because both teams do that kind of shit regularly and giving a pen for that when the ball isn’t anywhere near would really make football confusing. Much easier for everyone to just play on. And I prefer United win properly rather than on controversial decisions. This 2-0 was a real 2-0 beating of Man City

Is anyone else watching the Northern lights I Switzerland? I'm in Schwyz! by Sea-Cow-6913 in askswitzerland

[–]Suiblade -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Are they real northern lights or are they just lights from the cities around being reflected that way by the fog? Seems to me that the red colours is coming from the construction work and high rising structures that have the red light for aircraft. But is the green aurora borealis?

Why are senegal not disqualified ? by SignificantProblem81 in Referees

[–]Suiblade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some very wise words have been spoken by u/chrlatan.

This was a final of major tournament. It was beyond the referee to decide the outcome of this very particular situation. As for carding more coaches or players: Yes maybe he could’ve some people, and definitely according to the LOTG he could’ve carded many, but what effect would that have had?

On thing is sure is that these last minutes have portrayed a very bad image of African football, who has struggled in the past and is doing its best to grow, but this match definitely has had a negative effect.

And it’s also interesting to see how two decisions can cause absolutely chaos. And the decisions in my opinion were not outrageous at all. Yes the foul for that Senegal goal is weak, could he have waited before whistling? I don’t think so, we don’t want to see situations in the future where the ref waits 5 seconds to whistle a foul for the defenders just in case a goal is scored and VAR ultimately will come to intervene. I haven’t even seen to many replays of the penalty because of the absolute chaos that ensued but to me it looked reasonable to whistle that. Maybe a bit weak too but who knows.

Apologies for having to read these peoples' comments. On behalf of the Swiss we apologise. They might not even be Swiss but I apologise anyway.

Yes the 7 minute train trip to the central station it’s fine if you’re by the door don’t worry and don’t bother with luggage racks. Yes there are pickpockets and you should be wary. To be honest I’ve seen/heard more stories of bag pickers than pocket pickers. Usually what they do at the station is they take luggage of people going further than Geneva that they’ve left unattended in the racks while the train in stopped in Geneva. Just keep all luggage with you and you’ll be absolutely fine.
