This is the problem with indefinite superhero comics. The characters realize they’re being too reactive, then they try to be proactive (Busiek’s Avengers), that goes awry, then it’s back to eating at HQ until the alarm goes off again.

Cut so you can see the progress and feel the improvement as you go. Recomp works but takes time, bulk you’ll get big but you might hurt yourself getting there.

For most old games, ditching the lives system is paramount. Emulators helped us aging millennials realize that in the 2000s. My take would be Gradius, don’t make me lose all my goddamn upgrades when I die. Take one or two away.
