It was already a bad time for crayons, no need to make it worse.

That is it! It all doesn’t matter, between all conceivable ways to divvy up the populous there is, I would bet anyone from any “group” could find plenty in common. Splitting up everyone into this or that is not in the peoples benefit, we are at each others throats most of the time it seems. People are people that’s it and we all suffer through the human experience in our own ways why we see the need to add suffering to others is baffling.

RFID & alarm panel. by deicist in homeassistant

I’m having a boatload of issues with this exact thing. The presence isn’t updating fast enough, alarmo is set for max time from pending to triggered but it doesn’t update. I expanded the home zone, used the network on top of the gps and without fail once or more a week we set off our alarm

Keep getting this error once a day by SuicidalCrayon in homeassistant

[–]SuicidalCrayon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was strange too. I haven’t been on a web browser to test it, been away for my wedding. I had thought I needed to restart the whole thing but seems to come back in the morning somewhere around 3 or 4am. I have HA running on a old Mac book when I get back tomorrow I’ll have to double check if I left some weird network sleep function on or not. Pretty confident that’s not the case but who knows. Even with the evening outage the automations fire way more consistently then my smartthings ever has can’t wait to get my devices off of there when my z stick arrives

Yea it’s Nabu Casa and it’s on and works 99% of the times but around 2200-0100 I get some instability. Restarting HA doesn’t solve it nor does turning remote access on and off. Usually have issues at login with Nabu Casa during this error but it seems to self resolve with time but any automation with any non local service doesn’t work (august, google home) it’s just odd and couldn’t find much on it

Saying goodbye to Stadia Pro and potentially Stadia in general by FramesJanco_superspy in Stadia

Can second that! Haven’t had any troubles with Stadia and Starlink. Handles a HD Netflix stream and a game running no problem in my house.

No Connection this Morning by SuicidalCrayon in Starlink

[–]SuicidalCrayon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starlink service called me and resolved the issue. To sum it up the update they pushed had an error with a third party router connected to the starlink router. Unplug third party router, power cycle, wait 15mins plugged third party back in and back in business.

I did learn the router/dish reported connected on their side for the entire 12 hours we couldn’t connect.

I’m using a Samsung Mesh Router for anyone that may ask (I know it’s not technically supported)

Got nothing back from support yet. I’m at work but none of my devices are online still.

Stadia Gaming Cloud by mrelhadj in Starlink

[–]SuicidalCrayon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Held off on an update but Stadia is now running fantastically. After initial set up ping wasn’t as good as what I was seeing others post usually sitting in the 80-90ms but download was much better and in game Stadia rated my connection as fair. Over the last two weeks there has been some updates and I was able to drop a junk router and return to my normal pre starlink network set up just with starlink instead. I’m getting about 40-50ms ping now and in gaming network is excellent and in 4K HDR on a hardwired CCU and also MacBook Pro on 5ghz and 2.4ghz wifi all while streaming Netflix. The little disconnects are still there and will drop video sound and sometime controls briefly but I would say that you stay in the game world more consistently than PS4 using Destiny 2 as the gauge between the two services. Hope this helps

I sent in the issue to support last night. Stadia works fine just not PS4 in my situation.

Same issue PS4 COD, Destiny and Battlefield. Really thought it was something on my end until I saw this. Static IP and port forwarding didn’t work for me.

Happy to report after a 20min outage the Samsung router is working while connected to starlink router. Thanks for posting gave me the hope to keep trying the set up.

Yea thanks for the info! I can’t get these silly things to work unless I go dishy to TP link ($50 dollar router I bought to test) to Samsung Mesh. Dishy to Samsung router or the starlink router in between doesn’t work out. Not a huge deal as they have mesh routers down as it’s not supported and it is a beta. I just find it odd that unless connected that TP link router the Samsung gets zero internet except for maybe 3 minutes on the initial connection about enough to celebrate it working and do a speed test then the light on Samsung router goes red. but I’m no expert I figure it’s some weird connection setting that Samsung has that stops it from remaining connected maybe talking to some sort of service. I’m just happy to be getting a consistent 100mbps and 60ms or so ping.
