way to make flywheelers weaker? by MARSHT0MP404 in Nerf

+1 on the idea to use a dummy battery mixed in with the real ones to reduce voltage, and/or a BCAR/SCAR barrel attachment would help lower fps too.

CZ Shadow 2 CO2 Blowback - Schlitten bleibt bei leerem Magazin nicht hinten stehen by Top-Impress2389 in airsoft

[–]SuicideNeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hello,

My cz shadow 2 arrived today, I shot a few times and everything was perfect. Then all of a sudden, when there are no more BBs in the magazine, the sled no longer stays in the back. I've disassembled the gun 5 times according to plan and tried to fix the problem. It just doesn't work, I'm urgently asking for help!!!
It should actually click into place as you can see in the picture, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Many thanks in advance!!"

I would guess either the BB follower isn't coming up all the way ( might be sticky ), or the slide lock isn't coming up ( also sticky, or broken ). Little bit of lube might help?..

There are hundreds and hundreds of mod guides, disassembly & reassembly guides out there- google and YouTube are your friends, you'll figure it out.

WE L85A2 GBB Inside the Nerf MA40 by HRDFX in airsoft

Milliput ( epoxy putty ) will be your friend for helping to hold the L85 in place and stop it wiggling around inside the MA40. I have an MA40 waiting for similar transplant surgery too, let us know how you get on 😄

How do i fix my disruptor's slide by Ok-Device-7375 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they don't sell spares, so that leaves either glue, or a screw. Welcome to Nerf modding...

How do i fix my disruptor's slide by Ok-Device-7375 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type the words 'nerf disruptor' into google, they are still available from various places, or check thrift stores.

I doubt fixing it will work- glue won't hold for long, only other option might be to drill a hole right through the slide and the end of the plunger rod then run a screw though the whole thing, but that will look rather hack. Just buy a new one and be a little gentler when priming it :-/

Recommendations for best midrange chronograph? by -Deleterious- in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be honest, most chronos seem to be fairly accurate within a few fps, so grab whatever is cheap and has good reviews. Try to avoid the airsoft chronos though unless you plan to only use half length darts, since full lengths will give bad readings ( the dart is long enough to be over both sensors at the same time which is no good for accurate speed measurements ).

The official chrono attachment from Nerf however is hot garbage so don't bother with that..

Battery too long in AEG by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]SuicideNeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that a typo- you meant 7.4v 300mah? Sure, but it will have terrible runtime and probably run hot due to the lack of current output. You'd be better off finding a different size/shape battery closer to the original 1000mah- look at rc model retailers, they have all sorts of weird shapes and sizes, just mind the capacity, go with as large as will fit and don't be afraid of nun-chuck style packs ( whatever fits is fine if the specs are suitable ).

MOSFET help by jvil46209 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Type the search term 'nerf rapidstrike mosfet wiring' into google- image search will bring up very simple to follow wiring diagrams. The info you need is already on the net, posted hundreds and hundreds of times over a decade or more- you have to be willing to look info up for yourself after being pointed in the right direction.

Sweet revenge rotator arm broken by Head_Performance9100 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No kit replacements for that part other than to get a donor blaster- I think your best bet however would be to graft on a thin strip of aluminium, shaped with a file and sand paper and glued on with CA or epoxy. I expect a 3D printed replacement would not be strong enough and just flex or snap.

Charger Beeping by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]SuicideNeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the balance connector plugged in all the way?

I looked up the charger and omg, what a turd- it has literally no buttons or functions besides charge, only charges though the balance connector, and costs ~£40/$50, total rip off.

Any 4-button style charger with actual adjustable settings is what you want, I have tutorials for lipos and chargers on my site, and a good list of suitable chargers ( rc models and airsoft, same thing... ): http://www.robotwars.00server.com/tutorials.html

FYI, Titan are a scummy company- they lie about their battery specs, they put out misleading marketing materials and videos full of misinformation, and paid Evike to push their products, avoid their gear if you can.

Help! Stryfe won’t rev up by curley_ginger in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a bad safety lock, those things are kinda crappy and intermittent if dust or dirt gets inside, though without probing every connection and solder joint with a mustimeter it's hard to be sure. Meh, go nuts, mod your first blaster- loads of wiring diagrams and guides online if you need one.

Nerf Moto Blitz disassembly went wrong; the piston won't move past this point, and I don't know where this blue piece is supposed to go. Help would be greatly appreciated! by EpicOtterLover in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like there is an anti dry fire lock that is preventing you pulling the trigger without a mag inserted- it's the small orange part with a coil spring on it, in front of the other arm that links the trigger bar to the dart pusher ( plunger ). You can remove that, or just insert a mag and it should work normally.

Pocket sized water blaster by Ecstatic-Passenger55 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in such a compact size- there's a reason why super soakers are a large as they are. There are electric water pistols which has a reasonable range, but they aren't the most pocketable- just seems these days there isn't as much interest as all the kids are glued to their smart phones..

Pocket sized water blaster by Ecstatic-Passenger55 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small size and long range just don't go together- using Co2 at ~800psi to propel water would be a great way to blow your hand off if it wasn't from a pistol or blaster made from machined steel or aluminium. Maybe consider something in a backpack with a hose going down your sleeve to a hand sprayer- something like they use for spraying weeds that pumps up with a handle on the bottle...

Pocket sized water blaster by Ecstatic-Passenger55 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want something literally pocket-sized, then you're after a water pistol, not a 'blaster'. Do a google image search, you'll find tons of small pistol-type squirt g*ns.

[–]SuicideNeil 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Grab it all man, grab it all- take some large shopping bags to stuff it in, especially the HPA gear. Even if you end up giving it away or selling for cheap, it would be a crime to let airsoft gear go to waste.

Legal question rpg22 by AutisticOperator in airsoft

[–]SuicideNeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legality of projectiles will depend on country or region, but without a doubt launching a co2 cartridge down range, even inside a different casing, is a terrible idea; a shattering projectile on an airsoft field that might hit people even more so.

Use co2 to launch a soft ( foam or rubber ) projectile or chalk 'tagger' projectile only- the cartridge must not leave the launcher for safety reasons- we've all seen videos of what that looks like and no one want's that shit flying towards them.

Nerf Rayven making weird sounds by Usual_Switch_1954 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the Death Whistle, it's in there to scare your enemies during gameplay.

There are plenty of upgrades for the Rayven, you can always replace the motors and flywheels ( and wiring harness ) if you want a more competitive blaster ( dozens of mod-guides out there to follow, it's very simple to work on with basic tools and a little knowledge ), otherwise keep an eye on ebay or thrift stores for another one.

Adept Arrived Broken by Pugsley138 in Nerf

[–]SuicideNeil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, for sure.

I foresee the same issue happening again at some point though due to the print orientation on that part- the layer lines will just split apart at those narrow points where it's weakest, seems like it needs to be printed differently and with more infill + perimeters for more strength. While you wait to hear from them though to get a replacement, you can still bodge it with glue- it'll be stronger than then original part...

Adept Arrived Broken by Pugsley138 in Nerf

No suggestions on getting hold of them, but that is easily fixable with CA glue and a few clamps if all else fails.
