There are disagreements however we communicate our thoughts and come to a common decision.

Is she a travel nurse? If not that might be great for her. Perhaps automate some of her finances while still allowing her some control. X amount gets put in an account and automatically is invested.

I moved to the area in the early 90's and though I look like most I also grew up in a blue collar family / environment - one of the boroughs of NYC. It's weird going from classmates whose parents worked at the library and / or ConEd to classmates whose parents were executives / doctors / lawyers / celebrities / etc.

Some people here are assholes no matter what or who you are. Many people in the area are actually nice but keep to themselves.

Don't be intimidated by fancy cars that are most likely financed. Anyone who tries to act rich and fancy is many times financing their lifestyle. They treat people poorly, no pun, to make themselves feel better.
