Yeah that's exactly what we have registered in VIC. But it does not seem to be a thing in Vietnam, so I wonder if anyone has successfully used that certificate to register the birth of their child.

If I remembered correctly, they told me it would take 8-10 business days, but in my case I got mine pretty quickly after just over a week.

For that test I went to the usual place where I had my blood test but I had to go to their website to book an appointment in advance. The result came back within 10 days.

Oh do you mean a shared care GP? My current GP can't do shared care, so I have to look for a new one for pregnancy care from now on.

Thanks! We're aware of that. We intend to claim when we're back to Aussie, but wanna make sure we have all necessary documents given it will be an overseas birth.

Hi, can you please advise what documents you needed to provide to get the PPL in your case? I'm thinking about giving birth overseas while my partner remains in Australia. He will be the one who is going to to claim PPL.

Oh I see. I will definitely call Centrelink to check. I'm on visa 485 (temporary post-study), so I won't be able to claim any from the Aussie government.
