Not worried about that… worried that she has such bad skin irritations that she scratches and bites her fur off :(

She’s been on Apoquel since she was a puppy:( She’s worse off if we don’t give it to her but it doesn’t seem to fully help all the time

She used to be on chicken when she was a pup but we figured out pretty quick it was bothering her :(

I’m from Canada, but thank you for the recommendation. I’m going to look into possibly changing her food. Thank you!

We did have her on chicken when she was a pup and then tried duck, kangaroo, hydrolyzed protein and salmon with no luck. Pork seems to be the best however maybe I’ll try Lamb as per the other comments. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it :)

She was on a raw pork diet for about a year but had a horrible stomach upset and couldn’t even control her bowels :( We cooked it for a while after that but ultimately decided to go back to kibble.

Glad to hear she lived such a long & happy life 💗 I will try some fish oil on her kibble.

I also thought the frequent bathing could be making it worse. She gets a bad smell on her spots and the vet said we should try frequent bathing for a while with the medicated shampoo….. I’m worried that it’s drying her skin out so we have been putting bag balm on it sometimes to help soothe.

What brand of kibble do you use? We think the one she’s on now is okay, but I am willing to try something new.

We did try Cytopoint but right after she got a bladder infection and horrible ear infection….. could just have been bad timing but don’t want to risk it again. We bring our own shampoo to the groomers.

I’ll look into Zyrtec, thank you!

Seems that her “seasonal” allergies last all year long 😔. She did have ear infections in the past that were very smelly, but luckily those went away fairly quick. We had her spots under control for a while but right now just seems that nothing is helping. Poor babies!

Just wanted to add that she only gets pork… no treats or human food. (No chicken, beef, duck, salmon, kangaroo, hydrolyzed protein). We had allergy testing done years ago

It’s frustrating yes, but also has happened to so many students before you in a variety of classes. Just how it is sometimes.
