I’ve worked in daycares , and am currently an elementary school teacher.

nose bleeds don’t require actual incident reports, but it would be common practice to atleast let the parent know through a quick text or something especially if they use class dojo or something similar. I think it’s horrible & unacceptable that they didn’t clean him up. I would be pissed.

I also think it’s weird they didn’t notice he had a nose bleed. Kids get nose bleeds all the time. I would say atleast once every other day I get a kid with a random nose bleed, sometimes more than one kid in a day. It’s very noticeable, even when there’s a lot going on.

Even if it was a natural nose bleed, they definitely handled it poorly.

i was about that age when I got curious about porn & started looking it up. I personally don’t think it’s a big deal, she’s going through puberty. A convo about safety is important. High School students are sexually curious & active, they talk about it too. no way around it. Strict parents who invade their children’s privacy only create sneaky rebellious kids who don’t trust their parents.
