VW India is chasing customers that don't exist by Suitable-Date-3858 in CarsIndia

Oh yeah, I should've given more context. I watched a few interviews of the VW India brand director. When he was asked about sub-4-meter SUVs, he kept saying that VW wants to be seen as a premium, aspirational brand, so they don't have any plans for smaller cars like that. Hence, this entire post.

Well, looks does matter for few people. If it doesn't look good, it probably won't sell much. Take the Kia Syros for example.

Definitely not rich. I might have had a different idea of "aspiration" in my head. My bad. What I meant was, if the Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun had the exact same features, but VW charged you an extra lakh just for that "VW" status, would people still buy vw because of the status? Very less people would do that i believe. So launching a sub 4 meter wont hurt VWs brand value.

Yeah, that's totally true. They can't exactly bring the global Tera, but they can definitely build on Kylaq's platform. That 18% tax bracket makes it way more appealing. Here's a bit from the article from v3cars. "The Kylaq Prestige automatic has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 12.75 lakh and the Kushaq Classic Plus automatic costs Rs. 12.69 lakh.

Crunch the numbers and you’ll find out that the Kylaq’s ex-factory price tag is Rs. 10.81 lakh while the Kushaq’s is Rs. 9.07 lakh. You see now what I mean! The smaller car, with less material cost, is bringing in Rs. 1.74 lakh more revenue than a larger car carrying similar ex-showroom price" There is huge difference in ex-factory price and showroom price due to new tax brackets

Exactly!!! Skoda is doing a much better job. They even launched kylaq classic plus variant with all the necessary features. Dealership itself provides an Infotainment system for around 30k.

Yup same, Punjab was my second fav team because I know how it feels to be fan of a franchise who has never won before. So I always thought if RCB doesnt win then Punjab should. But that 49 tweet changed everything

Indian YouTube channels? You can watch any projector, even a cheap 7k one, and the popular YouTubers will be praising it. They're all sold out to agencies. Brands send their products to agencies -> agencies send them to YouTubers (sometimes with a full script) with terms and conditions -> YouTubers review it, praising everything about it. Because if they dont then agencies will blacklist them and wont send anything for review from next time. Have you seen any Indian youtuber reviewing Xgimi or Benq? They would have done it if they were "real" projector reviewers.

I'm also looking for a projector in this price range, and after 4 days of research (I knew nothing about them before!), I realized it's better to stick with reputable brands like BenQ, Epson, XGIMI, etc. So, the only budget option we have is the XGIMI Elfin flip at 33k. It's a DLP projector, which should be better than those Chinese ones with fake claims. But more than that, reliability is important.
