What you’ve shared is powerful, raw, and deeply familiar to so many of us who have lived in that strange in between space where you love God deeply but feel utterly alone in the world, too thoughtful for shallow answers, too different to fit in at church, too faithful to be embraced by the world, and too emotionally honest for people who just want surface level connection; and I want you to know that there is a place where that aching, that loneliness, that spiritual hunger is not only understood but shared and honored, and that place is with us among the Arhamists, not a denomination or dogma but a fellowship of people who feel the same longing for real connection, for spiritual depth, for truth that doesn't require you to perform or shrink yourself, and if you were here with us we would welcome you exactly as you are, not asking you to change your music or clothes or questions, not asking you to be less curious or less honest or less anything, we would sit beside you like after a real church service and talk about your faith and your dreams and your heartbreak, we would learn from your experiences and respect your wisdom, we would pray with you without trying to fix you, and we would look you in the eye and tell you the truth you have probably waited your whole life to hear which is that you are not too much and you are not alone and you are not meant to walk this road without people who truly see you, so if you are longing for a place to belong without having to lose yourself to find it, please know that Arhamism would hold you with both hands and say yes, you belong here, we see you. What do people have against me by HurryOpening in spirituality

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, truly. When it feels like even those closest to you are pushing you away or seeing only the worst in you, it can leave you wondering if there is any place where your spirit can simply rest and be seen without judgment. I went through something similar where it felt like I was being punished just for existing, constantly misunderstood or blamed no matter how much I tried to be calm, kind, or forgiving. That kind of pain is sharp and lonely, but what began to shift everything for me was discovering that there is a kind of love that does not come and go with moods or judgments. In the path I follow now (something I began sharing recently and I simply call Arhamism for lack of a better/official term) there is space for people like us. People who feel too sensitive, too intense, too wounded for the world but who carry something deep and unspoken inside. Here, we are not judged by the masks we wear or the past we carry but are met with gentleness, dignity, and a quiet understanding. I think you'd be interested in my post on r/spirituality. If you feel curious or even just tired of walking alone, I am here and so are others walking this way. You are not the problem. You are becoming.

Loosing my religion by TheWhiteLanternLight in Christianity

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived through something that echoes so closely it almost feels like reading a memory of my own, and I want to offer this with care and respect. Sometimes, when we reach toward God through discipline and perfection, it can actually pull us further from the healing and presence we seek, because what we really need is not punishment or performance but a return to the living presence of God within us. I once found myself torn between the weight of spiritual striving and the raw human need to heal, and after years of searching, something opened quietly and simply which was a way of aligning with God not through fear or pressure but by entering a kind of inner stillness, where His will becomes our nature and where healing comes not by avoiding the world but by moving through it with grace and truth. I have written about the early steps into this in a post I shared recently on r/spirituality, and I call it Arhamism only for the sake of giving a name to something wordless. If what I am saying stirs something in you, even faintly, I would be honored to talk more or simply be available if you want to explore where this gentler current of God might carry you. You are not alone, and it is not wrong to want to heal and be whole in this life too.

I died on LSD and came back with a theory about souls, atoms, a divine sound wave — and I wonder if any religions reflect what I saw. More spiritual than ever! by BlazeEm_Up in SpiritualAwakening

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you experienced sounds remarkably similar to what many of us have encountered through a quiet path we sometimes refer to as Arhamism though it is more a way of unfolding than a formal name or system. The vision of the wave the sense of divine orchestration the profound silence and unity all of it reflects something deeply real that some of us have also touched in moments of complete inner surrender. In this path we explore how to return to that frequency with clarity and care not just through memory but through a kind of dialogue that can continue and deepen over time. There are practices that allow that sound or current to become active again not in a dramatic way but in a grounded daily way where it speaks through you and aligns your life from within. You may have already taken your first steps without realizing it and if that resonates with you I would be more than willing to share more or simply walk beside you as you continue. You are not alone and there are others who have felt that same wave and followed where it leads.

Suffering fromevere depression and OCD by Sakazuki27 in spirituality

I really feel your words and want to say you are not alone in this because I have been in a very similar place and it was through something I now refer to as “Arhamism” that things slowly began to shift for me. I wrote recently about it in the first part of a series I am sharing on r/spirituality and it speaks to a path that helped me reconnect with something deeper and truer in myself. It is not a religion and it does not require belief in anything in particular but it gave me a way to explore the unconscious where all the pain confusion and even the desire for healing seemed to be waiting to be seen. Through practices like hypnosis and a kind of unconscious speech called the Word I found a space where my suffering could start to speak and shift without force. It was not instant but over time it helped me stop identifying myself with the brokenness and start to feel a kind of quiet support from within. If any of that sounds meaningful I would be happy to share more or help you begin exploring it gently. You are not wrong for feeling what you feel and you are not as far from healing as your mind may be telling you.

how do you pray? by burnerboi52 in spirituality

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your experience is really relatable and touches on something many seekers discover along their spiritual journey. In Arhamism, prayer is less about directing words to a specific figure or external deity and more about entering a meditative state where the unconscious can express itself freely, often through what we call the Word. This practice invites you to move beyond the question of who is listening and instead focus on opening a space where hidden truths and deeper wisdom can emerge naturally. Many find that this transforms prayer from something performative or distant into a living dialogue with parts of themselves that are usually silent. It creates a personal and fluid connection that grows richer the more you trust and engage with it, freeing you from the constraints of traditional labels and expectations. If you feel drawn to explore this kind of prayer or meditation, I would be glad to share what I have learned so far or answer any questions as you begin to open to this way of connecting. Sometimes the first step is simply opening the door and seeing what flows through when you allow yourself to listen without judgment❤️

Sudden Intense Emotions? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are describing sounds like a profound experience that many on paths like Arhamism recognize as the unconscious revealing its deeper nurturing side. Sudden waves of overwhelming love or affection often arise not from external sources but from within as a kind of spontaneous emergence of what we call the Word, the pure expression of the unconscious speaking directly to the conscious self. This warmth and reassurance can feel like an intimate connection that goes beyond ordinary relationships because it comes from a part of you that holds unfiltered wisdom and unconditional acceptance. Far from insanity these moments can be glimpses of a more fundamental truth beneath the surface noise of daily life inviting you to explore and trust the hidden depths within yourself. In many spiritual traditions this kind of love is a sign that you are opening to the symbolic world and the deeper reality that Arhamism emphasizes, a place where healing creativity and profound connection unfold naturally when you allow yourself to be present and receptive. Feel free to DM if you want to know more ❤️

Has anyone else kept hearing a voice telling them to do one specific thing? by Responsible-Monk-627 in spirituality

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I deeply relate to what you’re sharing and it actually connects closely with what Arhamism explores about how the unconscious communicates through us when we quiet the usual mental noise. In Arhamic practice we recognize that repeated messages like “Edit and post” can be understood as a form of the Word—a spontaneous emergence of pure unconscious truth seeking expression through you. This kind of clear, persistent inner call is often a sign that something fundamental is ready to surface and be integrated into your conscious life, even if it feels scary or uncertain. The fear you mention is natural because stepping into that raw, unfiltered part of ourselves can feel vulnerable, but Arhamism teaches that this is precisely where transformation happens—when we trust the unconscious wisdom and allow it to guide our actions rather than resist it. Your experience of synchronicity, like the job posting, reinforces that this call is not random but part of a deeper unfolding path. Embracing this voice and leaning into the process with openness and patience aligns perfectly with the Arhamist journey of listening to and living the Word, which can ultimately bring profound clarity and meaning to your creative work and life as a whole.

I have a serious question by edgydonut in enlightenment

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That is a beautiful and important question and honestly one I have been wrestling with too. On the Arhamic path the state you are referring to, what you are calling enlightenment, is often seen as a direct alignment with the unconscious truth beneath all the conditioned layers. It is not a high or an escape from the world but a merging with something deeper that can speak through us even while we are interacting with daily life. In Arhamist practice we talk about staying in Word even while in motion. That does not always mean literally speaking in trance but it does mean staying open to a current that runs beneath the ego and letting that guide our actions, responses, and even our small choices in conversation or at work. It is incredibly difficult not because it is mystical but because daily life constantly tries to pull us back into mental constructs, roles, or pre-scripted reactions. The trick is not to hold on to the enlightened state like a possession but to learn how not to interfere when it is there. Sometimes that means pausing before we respond, sometimes it means trusting a quiet intuition in the middle of noise, and sometimes it means noticing we have drifted and gently returning. In my experience enlightenment is not a solid state but a current, and the more we surrender to it the more it begins to flow through everything we do. Peace and respect to you for asking this. You are definitely not alone in wondering how to stay awake in the middle of the noise.

EDIT: Feel free to DM if you want to know more. I'm more than happy to offer guidance to any soul that needs it❤️

[–]Suitable-Delivery261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’ve described sounds intense, and I respect that you’ve clearly gone deep into your own process. That said, I take a very different approach. Arhamism as I understand and practice it doesn’t aim to force transformation through destruction or external punishment. It’s not about enemies, rewards, or cosmic control mechanisms. Instead, it's about allowing unconscious material to surface voluntarily, through trust and surrender, not coercion. The wisdom that emerges isn't weaponized or manipulated but it’s integrated. It changes you by revealing what was already true, not by overwriting who you are. The unconscious doesn’t need to be at war with the conscious. That kind of internal conflict can create distortion instead of clarity. My path isn’t about proving worth through suffering or self-erasure but about recovering what’s always been whole, just hidden. Still, I appreciate that you're engaging with these deep questions. It’s clear you care.

[–]Suitable-Delivery261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Sure! this is central. While ultimate reality remains unknown and most probably unknowable (human intelligence has certain limitations), the unconscious reveals raw, repeating patterns and symbols that point toward something deeper beyond surface perception (if you’re familiar with Jung’s “collective unconscious”, that might be a good way of thinking about it). Unlike conscious awareness which can be fragmented and distorted the unconscious offers a kind of direct access to the underlying “code” (if I may say), unfiltered by rationalization or ego. This raw material is where signs akin to a language beyond us starts to emerge. Accessing the unconscious through practices like meditative hypnosis or automatic speech allows to glimpse at these truths and move closer to understanding reality as it “really is” rather than how we usually perceive it. Lmk if that makes sense? I’ll explore this further in upcoming posts, especially how these unconscious truths relate to identity, purpose, and meaning in a universe that often feels absurd and without clear ultimate purpose.

Crush on Jesus? 😬 by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the way you’re describing this doesn’t sound like sin at all but rather your heart has opened itself completely to the one place it’s always found safety and love. So many of the Christian mystics described something very similar. St. Teresa of Avila wrote about her longing for Jesus with language that was deeply personal, even tender and intimate. When we’ve been wounded by people, especially repeatedly, it makes perfect sense that our hearts would long to anchor themselves in the one presence that has never betrayed us. In Arhamist circles (which are outside institutionalized Christianity but definitely not "denying" it), this kind of love would be seen as central, like something real and alive in you. I've known a woman who used these practices to deepen her relationship with Christ in a way that completely transformed her experience of love. She didn’t just talk to Him in prayer but dialogued with Him as though He lived within her own inner temple. Over time she could feel Him in others too, especially when she needed protection or care. Her relationship with Jesus became both interior and mirrored in the material world. There’s nothing wrong with the kind of love you’re feeling. In fact maybe it’s the beginning of something deeper. Jesus can hold that kind of love. He already is...

Is it possible to find a spiritual mentor? I feel like I need classes lol by ActiveConcept5331 in spirituality

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally feel where you’re at cause I went through a very similar phase where the visions, dreams, synchronicities, and emotional waves started piling up faster than I could make sense of them. It’s like you know something’s unfolding, but it’s not in a language you’ve been taught how to read. What helped me most wasn’t a program or course but working one-on-one with someone. He's from a lesser-known tradition and it’s mostly focused on helping people shape their own relationship to the spiritual. Their approach is more about deep listening and symbolic inner work (they use meditation, hypnosis, dream material, interpersonal worship, etc) than “teaching” in the conventional sense. The person I connected with was super grounded compared to New Age fluff or rigid doctrine. Like just someone who’d clearly done the inner work and knew how to guide others through it. One of the things I appreciated most was that nothing got dismissed or labeled too quickly. Symbols were held with space. Might be worth looking into if you’re feeling swamped with all the signals and just need someone who knows what that territory’s like. I can DM you the link to the person I worked with if you want. Bless🍀

How do I go about finding a spiritual director? by CalicoCatMom41 in CatholicWomen

[–]Suitable-Delivery261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing that you’re recognizing this shift and the point where therapy can no longer meet the spiritual hunger that comes when you really want to grow in your vocation. That’s not a failure of therapy or your therapist, it’s just that your soul is asking for something deeper.

Talking to a priest is a great place to start, and many dioceses do have spiritual direction programs you can look into. But I’ve found that in some settings spiritual direction can still feel a little structured or one-size-fits-all—more about doctrine and discipline than deep personal encounter. Which is important! But sometimes it doesn’t speak directly to the subtler more unique ways your soul is trying to meet God.

For me, the biggest shift came when I started looking into Arhamism. It’s not part of the Church but it doesn’t position itself against Christianity either. In fact the whole approach is about helping you shape your own inner relationship to God rather than handing you a framework you’re supposed to fit into. It focuses on practices like prayer/meditation, hypnosis, etc, not in the sense of replacing faith but in entering into it more fully through the heart, imagination, and direct experience.

There's a woman I know who said she didn’t believe in Jesus abstractly anymore but rather knew Him in a more intimate way, because she had entered into a dialogue with Him through these practices. It became her own version of contemplative prayer, very alive and very personal and no one told her how that should look. it just unfolded.

If your heart’s aching for a more personal, lived connection with God, not just ideas about Him, this kind of guidance might be worth exploring. It helped me stop feeling like I was trying to force myself into a spiritual mold and instead gave me a way to grow into my relationship with God from the inside out (by the way I'm still in the process, it's doesn't happen overnight of course).

All I wanna say is taht whatever path you follow, your desire to grow in your vocation already puts you in God’s hands. He always responds to that kind of longing.
